Roadmap
Objective: Clear all resources and deliver them to the station across all four lands to earn the Platinum.
Best Method: Upgrade your abilities as you progress, prioritising Speed and Cutter Wagons together, with Cargo Capacity as a secondary upgrade. This allows you to clear resources more efficiently while still returning to the station regularly to sell your collected materials.
Overview
Train Merge Tycoon is a simple progression game built around upgrading your train and its abilities. Travel around a square track, cutting down trees and bushes to collect resources. These resources are delivered to the station in a continuous loop, where you receive payment to expand your train and improve its abilities.
You will need to clear all resources across the four lands to complete the game.
There are four abilities at the bottom of the screen that can be upgraded using the money earned from delivering resources. Several miscellaneous trophies are tied to reaching specific upgrade milestones:
- Attach 10 Cutter Wagons to your train at the same time.
- Merge a Cutter Wagon to Level 5.Reach Speed Level 8.
- Reach Cargo Capacity Level 8.
Other trophies should unlock naturally as you work towards completing the four lands.
Best Upgrade Order
For the quickest route to Platinum, I recommend upgrading Speed and Cutter Wagons in tandem, with Cargo Capacity as a secondary priority. This lets you travel around the track and collect resources more efficiently, while the station is close enough to visit on each circuit if you need to deliver your cargo.
Continue collecting and delivering resources, upgrading your abilities as you earn money, until all four lands have been cleared and the required upgrade trophies have unlocked.
