Review
How hard would you look to find your handheld game if one of your parents hid it on you? Would you pop the tires of cyclists’ bikes? Or even knock down a pyramid of gymnasts to achieve that goal? If you answered yes to any of that, well then it’s time to get looking!
Mom Hid My Game isn’t a very long game. It unfortunately only runs for maybe an hour but throughout that hour, you have to find your way to solving 50 different levels, all of which consist of two little screens of things to do. Though all of the levels are really short, some of them are a little more involved than others. These were a bit annoying, only because if you weren’t fast enough with some of your actions when it came to the puzzles, you lost. There was one level where I had to feed a monkey bananas, and grab the game system off its back while it was moving. Thank goodness I could use the touch screen on my switch for some actions or who knows if I would’ve gotten it.
I really enjoyed the different kinds of obstacles that were presented to you, and it was fun figuring out some of the solutions though some required a bit of trial and error when I was going through them. For example, in one level, I had to find a pin to pop the tires of some cyclists’ bikes, then I had to pick up the pin so that it wouldn’t go into my foot, so that way I could open the cupboard and beat the level. Sure it only took a few tries to fully get through the level, but it still requires some trial and error. Sometimes there’s even button inputs on the walls that you have to follow, and what is weird to me is that you can’t complete these inputs unless you can actually see the inputs. So everytime I messed up a level, I’d have to re-open the blinds that are just covering a random wall!
When you beat all 50 levels, you end up getting a weird little minigame that’s all about twirling around a gymnast bar. I’ll be honest, I only did it once, then called it quits. It’s nice that there’s a bonus for beating the game, but it just wasn’t for me. But I can see how some people would love it.

- Some Puzzles Required You To Be Fast
Summary
For what it is, Mom Hid My Game is a fun little puzzler that doesn’t take a lot of effort. It’s short and sweet and you even get to hadouken your Grandpa! I’d say its worth it on sale.
