Introduction
Welcome to the F1 22 trophy guide!
Electronic Arts return with the 2022 season of F1 and have produced a number of changes within this year’s instalment. We are introduced to Supercar racing within this version, as well as some additional F2 content. Overall, we are still looking at a fairly lengthy, but easy platinum run.
Roadmap
Step 1: Career / My Team
You are probably looking at a couple of seasons here to ensure you have the time to build up your car to a competitive one, as even with the best teammate you may not be able to score enough points to secure that Constructors Championship. There are a number of objectives to complete within this mode, with upgrades to facilities and departments needed along the way.
Most trophies come naturally, with a few requiring you to go out of the way to obtain them.
You’ll be earning these trophies:
Get It Done
On Top
A Good Day
A Great Day
Mercedes Master
I Want It All
All Rounder
Pure Power
Speed Demon
Boosted
Back Online
Equipped With The Best
Executive Decision
Crisis Management
Tunnel Vision
Ferrari Fan
Red Bull Racer
Renault Racer
You Know Our Name
Ultimate Prize
Makes The Dream Work
Step 2: Pirelli Hot Laps
Pirelli Hot Laps are short challenges that require to be completed. There are 40 to choose from in total, with 6 different events to earn the gold standard within; some you would have completed within your My Team playthrough.
During this step you’ll earn these trophies:
Drifty
Gold All Around
Step 3: Time Trial / Supercar Laps
There are 25 laps needed in a Supercar, and a registered clean lap at each of the 24 tracks. These two things can be combined by using a Supercar to do your Time Trial laps in. Just be sure to complete one additional lap of a single circuit.
During this step you’ll earn these trophies:
Getting The Hang Of It
All Around The World
Step 3: F2
We’ll be combining a few trophies here to ensure we make the best use of our time. You’ll need to complete a race of 25% distance whilst here, so we’ll grab a couple of other trophies at the same time. See Annihilation. for full details.
During this step you’ll earn these trophies:
Annihilation
It Only Goes Skin Deep
F2 Flyer
Step 4: Online
You will need a boosting partner for part of this, as you are required to complete at least one race in “two player career”. You will also need to finish first and second in the race, so it cannot be cheesed on your own.
The second part of the online stage is to finish 100 races online, as well as finishing 1st in a Ranked & Unranked multiplayer race. There’s also a single trophy for competing in a league event.
You can always join our Discord with this link (Discord Invite), if you are unable to find a partner to boost with.
Refer to the trophy descriptions for more details.
During this step you’ll earn these trophies:
Better Together
Racing Clique
Watchful Eye
Weekly Warrior
The Start
The Grind
The Veteran
Fighting for 1st
Beating Them All
Step 5: Misc
You may obtain most of the below naturally, however some require you to go out of your way to get them. Check out the trophy description below for any that you are missing.
During this step you’ll earn the following trophies:
Just Popping In
Feels Like Home
Lookin’ Good
Proud owner
Replay That!
Spotlight On Me
Classic Photographer
Scorcher
Lookin’ Stylish
Supercar Superstar
Slotting In
Pit Perfection
Always Improving
Completionist
Tips and Strategies
The whole game can be played on the easiest AI settings, and with all collisions and rules turned off. There is no need to overly push your limits if you are looking for the quickest platinum route. Career Mode (or My Team) can be played on 10-race length, and the online is a grind, but you do not actually have to participate in most of the races, if you do not wish too. Check out the trophy descriptions below for more information.
You can obtain a few of trophies utilising the semi-AFK trick in online lobbies. Notably, these trophies include Scorcher,
Annihilation &
F2 Flyer.

Trophy Guide
![]() ![]() Unlock all of the F1® 22 Trophies |
Unlock all of the F1® 22 Trophies
![]() ![]() Complete 250 successful overtakes in any game mode |
This should come naturally as you progress. If you want to speed it up, you can turn off collisions (all cars become ghosts) and then drop to the back of the grid at the start of each race. This way you will overtake 21 cars in each race and have the trophy in no time.
![]() ![]() Participate in any Featured, Weekly or Esports Event |
Within the Multiplayer Menu head to the Weekly Event and set your Qualifying time for the race. Once the qualifying session is over you will net this trophy. You do not need to participate in the race.
![]() ![]() Have your car be the focus during a Broadcast Safety Car |
In order to obtain this, you must have the “Safety Car Experience” set to “Broadcast” within the “Rules & Flags” that can be changed prior to entering a race.
You must have the session set to anything other than “Short” in order to turn this on, so it is probably best to be done within Quick Race, as you will need to have the laps set to 25%. You can also set the probability of a Safety Car being deployed to “Increased” to help trigger one.
If you’re struggling to get a Safety Car to deploy you will have a greater chance in Monaco, and Wet Conditions.
The trophy will pop when you eventually trigger a Safety Car and join the queue.
![]() ![]() Slot into the grid starting box 10 times |
In order to obtain this, you must have the “Formation Experience” set to “Immersive” within the “Rules & Flags” that can be changed prior to entering a race.
You must have the session set to anything other than “Short” in order to turn this on, so it is probably best to be done within Quick Race, as you will need to have the laps set to 25%.
Once you have driven your formation lap you will need to line up into you grid slot and stop when shown on screen (Green/Purple Markers).
As a bonus we can utilise the Flashbacks here and complete the 10 required one after another; just ensure that the stop have been registered and then hit the flashback to repeat.
![]() ![]() Win a race at Monza with a Ferrari Engine in My Team |
You can utilise the additional My Team save slots to quickly knock this trophy out away from your main playthrough.
Set up a season with all the tracks from the latter part of the championship, with Monza as far forward in the season as possible (earliest is fourth race) and move as quickly to this race as possible by skipping qualifying and retiring from the races prior.
Make sure you select “Championship Contender” when starting out, and the Ferrari Engine.
![]() ![]() Win a race at Austria with a Red Bull Engine in My Team |
You can utilise the additional My Team save slots to quickly knock this trophy out away from your main playthrough.
Set up a season with all the tracks from the latter part of the championship, with Austria as the first race.
Make sure you select “Championship Contender” when starting out, and the Red Bull Engine.
![]() ![]() Win a race at France with a Renault Engine in My Team |
You can utilise the additional My Team save slots to quickly knock this trophy out away from your main playthrough.
Set up a season with all the tracks from the latter part of the championship, with France as the first race.
Make sure you select “Championship Contender” when starting out, and the Renault Engine.
![]() ![]() Win a race with a Mercedes Engine in My Team |
When setting up your initial My Team you have the option to choose the Mercedes Power Unit. It’s the most expensive, but also the best.
Choosing this and winning the first race will net you this trophy.
![]() ![]() Take a photo using Photomode at Silverstone, Spa, Monza & Monaco |
Quickly done using Time Trial, as you can get out onto the track nice and easily, plus change the track without having to go back to the Main Menu. Once on the track pause the game and head into Instant Replay/Flashback, then press the button to enter Photomode. Simply entering Photomode is enough to trigger the “Take a photo”.
![]() ![]() Visit another player’s F1 Life area |
From the Main Menu tab over to F1 Life > F1 Life Visitors > Select a Visitor (PSN Friend) > Visit F1 Life.
![]() ![]() Display a trophy in your F1 Life trophy cabinet |
You are awarded an in-game trophy when you win your first race at each track, as well as winning the championships etc. You will need to claim your trophy from your Mailbox () before you can add it to your cabinet.
Once you have it from the Main Menu tab over to Player Hub > Super Licence > Trophy Cabinet > Add Trophy
![]() ![]() Change the appearance of your F1 Life area |
From the Main Menu tab over to F1 Life > Customisation > My Place > Change any item in your home.
![]() ![]() Drive 25 laps in a supercar in any game mode |
It’s advised that you combine this with All Around The World to save time. There are 24 tracks within the game, so you will only need to do 2 laps of one single track along the way.
It’s very easy to change tracks from the pause menu too, so there’s no requirement to back out to the Main Menu.
![]() ![]() Earn a gold medal in each type of Pirelli Hot Lap |
Pirelli Hot Lap challenges will come along in-between races during your My Team playthrough. Each one consists of something a little different, with objectives based on Gold, Silver & Bronze results.
- Auto Cross
- A slalom type event where the objective is to make it through each gate without hitting any of the posts. You should have more than enough time here, so be a little patient with the gates.
- Average Speed
- Drive from Point A to Point B achieving a minimum average speed without leaving the track. You will have 3 attempts at this one.
- Checkpoint Challenge
- An old school distance challenge where you need to make it to the next checkpoint to extend your time.
- Drift
- A timed Drift event where you need to reach a particular score before the timer runs out. Drift points are awarded for drifting at speed, and higher angles. Points are removed if you spin or leave the track.
- Rival Dual
- Beat your rival in a head-to-head race on a specific part of the track. You’ll have to beat them 3 times to achieve gold in this one.
- Time Attack
- Complete a set number of laps within a particular time limit. Make sure to not leave the track, or you will be DSQ.
If you do not obtain this by the time you have finished with My Team, there are 40 in total available which can be accessed via the Solo Tab > Pirelli Hot Laps.
![]() ![]() Drift for a total of 3 minutes in the Drift Pirelli Hot Lap |
Accumulative across all your Drift Pirelli Hot Lap’s. Make sure to choose this event with every opportunity during your My Team playthrough and you should obtain this within 3-4 drift events.
![]() ![]() Change a piece of your Casual attire |
From the Main Menu tab over to F1 Life > Customisation > Casual & Race Wear > Edit > Casual Wear > Change any item.
![]() ![]() Change the Paint Finish on all layers of a livery |
From the Main Menu tab over to F1 Life > Customisation > Player Car Liveries > Create New/Edit > Liveries > Move to any car other than the standard locked one > Change Colour () > Scroll down to Paint Finish and change each one of the 2-3 colours to one of the 4 Paint Finish options.
![]() ![]() Perform 25 perfect pitstops |
In order to obtain this, you must have the “Pit Stop Experience” set to “Immersive” within the “Rules & Flags” that can be changed prior to entering a race. This can be completed within any game mode and is accumulative across all races.
The perfect pit stop is done by pressing the “Turn In” button () at the correct time whilst doing the initial turn in into your slot.
As a bonus we can utilise the Flashbacks here and complete the 25 required one after another; just ensure that the turn ins have been registered and then hit the flashback to repeat.
![]() ![]() Upgrade Pit Crew Equipment to the max level in My Team |
At any point during your My Team playthrough go into your Facilities Management and select the Personnel Department, and within here you need to upgrade the “Pit Equipment” to level 3. This is easily done if selecting the Championship Contenders when you first start out, as you will only need to make one upgrade.
Once enough time has passed your facility upgrade will complete and the trophy is earned.
![]() ![]() Complete 25 Department Events in My Team |
These come along randomly between races and may take a couple of seasons to complete, deepening on how many races you have added to each season. They are similar to Executive Decision.
If playing a 10-race season, then you can expect to obtain this during your second season.
![]() ![]() Agree to and complete an Ask The Driver Department Event |
Between races you can be randomly asked questions from the media, or your personnel department. When you are asked if you want to participate in a “Ask the Drivers” event you must choose to do so. You will then be asked a few questions about the Car/Team and the trophy will pop shortly after.
![]() ![]() Complete your first race weekend in Two Player Career |
With Career you have the option to create a Two Player Career. You’ll need a boosting partner for this one, but it does not take long.
It doesn’t matter what format you use, but you will want to have some custom settings to make things simple.
Head to the Simulations Settings and adjust the following –
- AI Difficulty – 20 (Can be Higher/Lower depending on your ability)
- Car Damage – Off
- Race Starts – Assisted
- Collisions – Off
You will now be able to ignore the AI as they will be ghosts.
The trophy will be awarded when you complete the weekend (finishing the race) and can be combined with Fighting for 1st if you both finish in the top 2.
![]() ![]() Earn 1st and 2nd place in a single race as players in Two Player Career |
See Better Together.
![]() ![]() Complete a clean lap at all tracks in Time Trial |
There are 24 tracks within the game, and you need to register a valid clean lap on each of them. It is clear if you failed to register a clean lap, so just take your time and ensure you do not cut corners/go off track and you will be fine.
To utilise your time better it is advised that you combine the time here and go for Getting The Hang Of It too.
![]() ![]() Reach 300kph / 186.4mph at 10 different tracks |
This will come naturally as you play. Most of the tracks within the F1 calendar have straights long enough to reach this speed, so don’t worry about this at all.
![]() ![]() Achieve first in the speed trap in 5 practice sessions |
In order to achieve this, you must of course be participating in the practice sessions. The speed trap is usually located at the end of the longest straight and should come naturally as you progress.
![]() ![]() Re-open a facility that has been shutdown for more than 7 days in My Team |
At any point during your My Team playthrough go into your Facilities Management and select a department, and once inside you can shut the facility down by pressing .
Once done advance time by a week and then go back in and reopen the facility in the same way.
![]() ![]() Reach a Team Acclaim level of 20 in My Team mode |
This will come naturally if you keep winning races. The equipment, and second driver you chose at the beginning of the My Team playthrough will determine how long this will take you
![]() ![]() Develop a component in every R&D Department |
There are 4 departments within the R&D section, so this is easily achieved by making sure you develop one from each when you first start out.
They can be either standard or rushed parts.
![]() ![]() Complete a practice session using Quick Practice |
From the “Workstation” go into the Next Session and move to the right to participate in Quick Practice. This is a great way of boosting your stats at races without actually participating.
Note: – This cannot be done on “Sprint Weekends”
![]() ![]() Achieve pole position after any qualifying session |
This can be achieved in any mode and is awarded for successfully obtaining the “Pole Position”. This is done by achieving the fastest lap within any final qualifying sessions.
It can be obtained in a standard format qualifying, and One Shot qualifying.
![]() ![]() Get on the podium |
Awarded for finishing any race within the first 3 positions. Can be achieved in any game mode.
![]() ![]() Win your first race |
Awarded for finishing any race in first position. Can be achieved in any game mode.
![]() ![]() Win the F1 Drivers’ Championship |
You will be awarded this trophy when it is mathematically impossible for anyone to catch you in the championship standings. This can be obtained on any of the length championships and also any difficulty level.
![]() ![]() Win the F1 Constructors’ Championship |
You will be awarded this trophy when it is mathematically impossible for any other team to catch your team in the championship standings. This may take a couple of seasons to obtain as initially your car may not be good enough to power your teammate to enough points. It can however be obtained on any of the length championships and also any difficulty level.
![]() ![]() Set the fastest time in all 3 practice sessions, take pole position and win the Grand Prix |
You will need to participate within all 3 practice sessions, ensuring that you achieve the fastest laps in each, as well as achieving Pole Position, and winning the race.
This is easily done by adjusting the AI difficulty within the game settings. You can adjust the difficulty of the game at any point between races, and as many times as you like.
![]() ![]() Finish 1st in a Ranked & Unranked multiplayer race |
Ranked Races (available from the Multiplayer Menu) involve Qualifying and a set 5 lap race. These cannot be boosted easily as they match you up with other gamers that are looking to do this event at the same time. You may get lucky and find an empty lobby that you can add an alt too, and then you will have this one easy.
Unranked Races are the standard races that you will participate in when going for The Veteran.
![]() ![]() Finish 10 races in online multiplayer |
See The Veteran.
![]() ![]() Finish 50 races in online multiplayer |
See The Veteran.
![]() ![]() Finish 100 races in online multiplayer |
Unless you are someone that likes spending hours and hours within the F1 online environment, you’re going to want to get this one out the way as quickly as possible.
Unfortunately, there is no real short cut for this, as we did experiment with all cars crashing, but this did not count as a “finish”.
There is a slight workaround that can be used; however, it still involves sitting through the races themselves. This is done by pausing the race as soon as it starts online, which will call forth the good old AI to take control of your car and race along for you.
This way you can forget about the game and just Advance when the race has finished. There is no actual need to do any physical racing.
You can also easily boost this one within Invite Only, but the main thing you are really looking for is to ensure that you are in sessions that are labelled Very Short (Multiplayer > Social Play > Browse > Filter > Session Length > Very Short >
), as this will show 3 Lap Races with no qualifying.
You can always join our Discord with this link (Discord Invite), if you are unable to find a partner to boost with.
![]() ![]() Complete a League race |
Within Multiplayer you will find the Leagues area. In order to speed this up head into the Find Leagues section and scroll through the available leagues looking for one that has a race starting soon.
Once you find one join it and check to see what the next event is. If it is a long event feel free to leave the league and look for a simple 5 lap, no qualifying event: once done, ready up.
You do not need any other members form the league to be present for the start of the event, as you can race against AI. Once you complete the race, no matter what position, you will be awarded the trophy.
![]() ![]() Spectate an online race |
You can spectate online races after joining a lobby by pressing . Once here all you need to do is waiting until the current/next race finishes and the trophy will unlock.
If you’re lucky enough to join a race mid-session then the trophy will still pop at the end of the race.
![]() ![]() Save a captured highlight in Theatre Mode |
After you have done a single race, you can access from the Main Menu tab over to F1 Life > Theatre > Press on any Recent Highlight.
![]() ![]() Complete an F2 Grand Prix with a Sprint and Feature Race at 25% or greater race distance |
See Annihilation.
![]() ![]() Win a 25% race in wet conditions |
See Annihilation.
![]() ![]() Successfully complete 15 upgrades in a single R&D department |
You will want to focus on one particular department for upgrades until you have a achieved this one. Some of the departments have a fair number of upgrades already unlocked, so it’s best to focus on the Aerodynamics between races.
Don’t forget to participate in practice sessions (manually, or quick) to earn yourself more credits for upgrades.
![]() ![]() Fill all 6 bays in F1 Life with unlocked supercars |
From the Main Menu tab over to F1 Life > Supercars > then add a Supercars to each “Bay”. You can unlock more cars by completing events and earning tokens.
![]() ![]() Boost your 2nd driver’s stats 10 times using Team Activities |
Team activities need to be planned between races from the home screen. When at the calendar tab across and plan in some activities during the days you are not racing. You can view what each activity contributes to your team/driver at the bottom of the screen.
![]() ![]() While in 1st place, lap the driver in 2nd place in any game mode |
You can combine this with F2 Flyer &
It Only Goes Skin Deep.
– Set up a Solo “F2 2021” Grand Prix at Monaco and turn off all the “Rules & Flags”.
– Set the Weekend Structure Session Length to “Medium” (If combining the above), and the Race Format to “Sprint & Feature”.
– Set the Weather to “Very Wet”.
– Finally, within the Simulation Settings set the AI Difficulty to “Zero” and turn off “Car Damage” & “Collisions”.
It’s worth noting that you can also obtain this & F2 Flyer utilising the semi-AFK online method mentioned in
The Veteran.
![]() ![]() Complete a race at F1’s hottest tracks (Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Singapore, Brazil) in Clear weather |
These can be set up in Quick Race or have them as part of your My Team playthrough. As long as the race is clear weather you will unlock this after finishing in each one.
