Review

Night Lights is a cute 2D platformer, where you collect shards and manipulate light using objects, to solve puzzles to move onto the next level. Where, at the end, you resurrect a fallen star.

This little gem of a game was enjoyable, yet frustrating at times as puzzle solving isn’t one of my stronger skills, however, I really enjoyed it.

The music was calming and the levels were fairly short, however, I got stuck figuring out the puzzles as I got further through the map so the levels started to seem longer. Though I didn’t mind too much. Following a guide would be easier if you didn’t want to spend time solving the puzzles.

The sounds that the robot, surroundings and abilities made were cute too, though did get a little annoying if having to use them constantly. But mainly cute.

Very simple controls, even though there was the odd time when they would get stuck and I couldn’t move from side to side, though, didn’t happen much and after going to the main menu and back again, everything was back to normal.

Other than the few random times the controls got stuck, they were responsive and very user friendly. Not many commands to remember, so worked for me. Overall, a really cute game with challenging puzzles, platforming and a sweet tiny robot.

A pretty easy platinum, which, following a guide, you could get in roughly 2 hours.
