Introduction

Welcome to the MotoGP™23 trophy guide!
Milestone S.r.l. introduce MotoGP™23; “Open the throttle, pass your opponents and cross the finish line. Live the dream of being the next champion with the new MotoGP™23, more amazing and challenging than ever!
Compete in the three official championship categories MotoGP™, Moto2™ and Moto3™, step into the shoes of your favourite rider and head to the track to experience the adrenaline of the 2023 season.

Roadmap

Step 1: Getting Used to the Bike
Use this as a tutorial, or a practice to get used to any new mechanics this years game may have. You can of course complete this in one session, or split it up if you’re getting bored of running one track over and over.

Make sure that each of the 25 laps you need in Time Trial complete are “valid laps”, or this will take longer than it is supposed too.

You’ll be earning these trophies:
Bronze In the saddle
Bronze School is out
Bronze High fidelity
Silver Nothing but perfection

Step 2: Multiplayer
A simple multiplayer once again that can be boosted with one other. Only one player actually has to race, so self boosting is also possible here. You’ll also need to ensure you “Complete a multiplayer race wearing your custom helmet”, reach the podium 3 times, and you’re all done after completing 25 races total.

During this step you’ll earn these trophies:
Bronze Sofa rivals
Bronze Fast fashion
Silver Nice view from here
Silver Do you want a rematch?

Step 3: Challenges
MotoGP™ Academy features challenges that involve achieving a specific sector time, or lap time on each circuit. You’ll only need to achieve the Bronze timing within 50 of these challenges, so no need to waste your time trying to get the Gold.

During this step you’ll earn the following trophies:
Bronze Warm-up lap
Silver No fear when turning
Gold Phenomenon of motorbikes

Step 4: Career Mode
This is a fairly short step due to the fact that you are able to select a trimmed down version of the season (Short Season), which only requires you to participate in 10 races. You will need to start off in Moto 3 as normal with these, and build your way up from there making sure you win the Moto 3 & Moto 2 Championships on your way. You will need at least a couple of seasons in MotoGP in order to obtain Silver Point of reference & Silver The thrill of the challenge.

As default the AI Difficulty stands at 45% so you may wish to change this in the Race Settings when you first start out, and while you’re there make sure to turn the Race Length to 25% (minimum). You can also turn off Tyre Wear & Fuel Consumption this year as it’s not need for a trophy.

There are a few other things worth noting here –

  • Reach Qualifying 2 after participating in Qualifying 1
  • Obtain Pole Position in Qualifying 3 times
  • Serve a penalty in the LLP
  • Win 10 Races without using Rewind (Can be done in Grand Prix, or Championship).
  • Win the championship twice in the same category in Career mode.
  • [MotoGP] Complete a valid lap with the two proposed bikes during a Test session in Career mode.
  • [MotoGP] Become manufacturer Leader in Career mode.

During this step you’ll earn the following trophies:
Bronze Last minute save
Bronze Always first
Bronze Second take
Bronze First steps
Bronze Expectations met
Bronze Just a quick detour
Bronze Moto3™ Championship victory
Bronze Geared to survive
Bronze The road to the top
Silver Clean riding
Silver Rider of the month
Silver The thrill of the challenge
Silver Moto2™ Championship victory
Silver Here to stay
Silver Point of reference
Gold MotoGP™ Championship victory

Step 5: Miscellaneous
A few miscellaneous to earn here, which can all technically be done within the Career Mode, however it would be advised to get these done as part of a cleanup. Doing them within Career will significantly extend your time needed to platinum.

During this step you’ll earn these trophies:
Bronze Perfect weekend

Bronze Did you bring an umbrella?
Bronze Collect them all
40-platinum MotoGP™23

In the saddle
Complete a lap during your first track trial.

One of the very first things you’ll be able to do in the game is a “Track Trial”. This comes along as part of the setup of the game and you’re given four options of control difficulty to choose from; once picked, complete a single lap of the track and the trophy will pop at the end.

Fast fashion
Complete an Online Race wearing a custom helmet.

When you enter the Multiplayer Lobby you will have the option to select Official Rider, or Official Team. Selecting an Official Team will result in your custom rider participating in the race, and therefore your custom helmet.

You will need to “Share” & “Apply” your original creation in order for it to be available online. This can be done whilst saving any changes within Customisation > Appearance > Rider > Helmet > Stock > (Helmet Editor).

Did you bring an umbrella?
Win a Flag to Flag race in Grand Prix, Championship or Career mode.

You can combine this into one of the Grand Prix needed for Bronze Collect them all. You will need to ensure that you set the Race Length to at least 50% otherwise you will trigger the scenario for Bronze Second take. Weather conditions need to be Variable, with all the other settings as you please.

When it begins to rain (or dry out) during a race you will automatically be called into the pits to exchange bike and then go racing again, and when this triggers you’ll just need to let the action play out and watch for when you’re ready to take control of the bike.

This can be obtained in both MotoGP™ & Moto2™, but not Moto3™.

Second take
Win a race with Quick Restart Procedure in Grand Prix, Championship or Career mode.

A Quick Restart Procedure is activated randomly when the weather is variable, and you are playing with the races set to less than 50% Race Length (this is in fact the alternate to Bronze Did you bring an umbrella? when doing shorter races).

When it begins to rain (or dry out) during a race you will automatically be called into the pits to exchange bike and then go racing again, and when this triggers you’ll just need to let the action play out and watch for when you’re ready to take control of the bike.

If you want to try and trigger this you’ll need to set up a Grand Prix with Variable weather and keep trying to get the RNG of the weather to hit.

Last minute save
Race in Q1 and qualify for Q2 in Grand Prix, Championship or Career mode.

In order to obtain access to Qualifying 2, you will first need to fall into the Qualifying 1 session, and then set the fastest time there. This can easily be done by not participating in any of the Free Practice sessions, and therefore automatically placing you into Qualifying 1.

Set the fastest laps in both Qualifying sessions and you’ll get this one.

Always first
Clinch Poles on 3 different tracks in Grand Prix, Championship or Career mode.

Setting the fastest lap in Qualifying will get you that coveted Pole Position.

As with all trophies in this game, you can lower the AI difficulty to 20%, if you are having any troubles.

Perfect weekend
Clinch Poles and win a Sprint Race and a race in Grand Prix, Championship or Career mode.

It is best to do this in a single Grand Prix, as you will only need to complete a single race with this mode enabled.

Within Career you will have the option to enable Sprint Races when you first move into the MotoGP™ category, with the option given when you first start out each season – Eventually a Sprint Race will come along, and then you’ll need to ensure you participate within each valid session and be the fastest. You will however then have to complete the rest of the season with this enabled, therefore making it a lot longer.

Just a quick detour
Serve a penalty in the LLP lane in Grand Prix, Championship or Career mode.

This can be done during race, or practice. After your 5th warning for exceeding track limits (cutting corners) you will be served with a Long Lap penalty. This would mean that you would need to go around the outside of a designated corner, and stay within track limits there.

After being served the penalty, you will have 3 laps to complete this, or you will be disqualified. If you happen to get this penalty during a race, and you do not have enough laps left to complete it, then you will be served with a 5 second penalty at the end of the race (which will not count for the trophy).

Using the Assisted settings will still net you the trophy here.

Sofa rivals
Complete a race in Split Screen mode.

A second controller is needed for this one. head to Multiplayer > Local and proceed to complete a single race. You can lower the difficulty if you wish (it doesn’t matter where you finish), and of course make sure you lower the Race Length to 3 Laps.

High fidelity
Complete 5 consecutive valid laps in Time Trial mode.

Completing 5 consecutive valid laps in Time Trial, is actually fairly tricky for a newcomer, as with the slightest movement off of the track, or a crash, your lap will become invalid.

You will need to complete 25 laps in total within Time Trial for Silver Nothing but perfection, so do not stress too much about this. There is also a little trick to keep your streak going, as you are able to pause and “Restart Flying Lap” if you do happen to crash, or go off of the circuit. This will keep your streak alive, and help you on your way to achieving this.

School is out
Play all the Tutorials.

Within the Single Player tab you can select Tutorials from the Training section, and within here you will be tasked with completing 6 separate tutorials –

  1. Bike Control – Completed with Bronze In the saddle
  2. Flag to Flag – Enter the Pits and complete the first sector without crashing
  3. Long Lap Penalty – Race the final sector and serve the LLP within 40 seconds
  4. Engine Mapping and Fuel Consumption – Lower the PWR to 1 by pressing (x2), then complete one final lap
  5. Ride-height device (RHD) activation – The RHD can be activated by pressing and is used in a similar fashion to the DRS within Formula. Activation makes the bike run lower to the ground, and therefore is less wind resistant when speeding down the straights. Activate this when prompted and complete a lap within 1:40:00
  6. Manual Start – Hold the clutch in with and then release when the lights go out. You’ll need to complete the first sector, but you’ll not need to be in first place when you do.
Warm-up lap
Get at least the Bronze in 10 challenges in MotoGP™ Academy mode.

See Gold Phenomenon of motorbikes.

First steps
Complete the Debut Season in Career mode.

Consisting of 3 Moto 3 races this season is your Rookie season, and it’s time to impress. You can know off a few trophies in here, but ultimately it doesn’t matter where you finish in the races, as the trophy will pop at the end of the 3rd one.

Use this step to judge what difficulty you want to be racing at, and adjust if you need too.

Geared to survive
Complete a valid lap with the two proposed bikes during a Test session in Career mode.

Once you finally make it to MotoGP™ you will participate in the Seasons Test right at the beginning of the season, and have the option to switch between bike whilst in the pit.

Head into Bike Setup and you’ll be given the option to switch between Spec A & Spec B, then complete a valid lap with each spec.

The road to the top
Become Team Leader in Career mode.

See Silver Point of reference.

Expectations met
Complete a Race in Career mode respecting every session objective.

You may actually need to participate within Free Practice sessions with this one as they are randomly generated at the start of the weekend. I

Collect them all
Complete a race with each MotoGP™ Manufacturer in Grand Prix, Championship or Career mode.

You cannot combine this with you 25 online races by swapping bikes/teams between races, so you will need to do some 3 Lap Grand Prix to clean this up.

There are 6 different MotoGP™ manufacturers that you will need to complete at least one race with each –

  • Ducati
  • Yamaha
  • Aprilia
  • Honda
  • KTM
  • GASGAS

You can combine some of these with Bronze Perfect weekend &Bronze Did you bring an umbrella? to speed the last chapter of your platinum up.

Moto3™ Championship victory
Win the Moto3™ Championship in Career mode.

See Gold MotoGP™ Championship victory.

The thrill of the challenge Gold
Win 10 Extra Challenges in Career mode.

Extra Challenges are randomised throughout the season, and can be viewed within the round selection screen, just before you enter the race itself. When on this screen you can scroll to the previous tracks to see if you have completed any, as they come at you around 2-3 times every season.

The challenges will normally consist of things like beating a specific opponent at that weekend, and should not be confused with the standard (or orange) weekend objectives, and to view them head into the Career Menu (Continue Career), then Next Round, and scroll through the tracks. Next to the results in the middle left of the screen you will see any Extra Challenges you have participated in.

Unfortunately there is no tracker, so you may want to keep track of these yourself.

Rider of the month Gold
Meet the season’s Team goals in Career mode.

You will achieve this at the end of any of the seasons you play if you have achieved the objective set out to you when you agree what team you want to be part of.

These are normally things like Constructors Top 10, or Top 5, so you should have no issues unlocking this naturally as you play through.

Point of reference Gold
Become manufacturer Leader in Career mode.

You will need to move to the very top team within one of the manufacturers in MotoGP™, and then become the leader of the team.

When you get your first offer of a MotoGP™ bike you will have the opportunity to get a ride within an Independent, or a Satellite Team, and you will want to jump straight into an Indie team to reduce the time needed to get to the main manufacturer leaders. You’re best to grab either the Aprilia, or Honda seat here if they are offered, as there is only 1 more step with these team to get to the top team.

You’ll be the leader of your first team within a few races, so you’ll unlock Bronze The road to the top naturally on the way to this.

Here to stay Gold
Win the championship twice in the same category in Career mode.

This one is actually glitched in a beneficial way, as it has been unlocking after winning your second championship total (normally the Moto2™ Championship), and has been consistent across a number of earners.

If eventually patched, you will probably earn this naturally on route to Silver Point of reference as you’ll need a couple of seasons in MotoGP™ for this one.

Moto2™ Championship victory Gold
Win the Moto2™ Championship in Career mode.

See Gold MotoGP™ Championship victory.

Nothing but perfection Gold
Complete 25 laps in Time trial mode.

Completing consecutive valid laps in Time Trial, is actually fairly tricky for a newcomer, as with the slightest movement off of the track, or a crash, your lap will become invalid.

You will need to complete 25 “valid laps” in total within Time Trial, which can be fairly tricky for a newcomer, as with the slightest movement off of the track, or a crash, your lap will become invalid.

There is a little trick, as you are able to pause and “Restart Flying Lap” if you do happen to crash, or go off of the circuit.

No fear when turning Gold
Get at least the Bronze in 25 challenges in MotoGP™ Academy mode.

See Gold Phenomenon of motorbikes.

Nice view from here Gold
Reach the podium in three different Online Races.

Unfortunately the MotoGP games do not seem to have a massive online appeal. This is truly unfortunate, as there never really seems to be too many people online at any one time.

This is a bonus for this trophy however, as you should frequently comes across a lobby where there is only a couple of other people racing.

If you’re self boosting, then this will come without even thinking about it.

Do you want a rematch? Gold
Complete 25 Online Races.

This can be boosted with a partner in Private Matches, and only one needs to finish the race in order for it to count. You can lower the race distance to 15% (3 laps) to make this slightly quicker.

As per the normal in these multiplayer ones; if you are looking to get this done as quick as possible keep racing round the Sachsenring (Germany), as this has the quicker lap times. You can expect to spend around 2.5 hours on this one alone.

Boosting is possible between PS5 & PS4 this year as cross play functionality has been added.

Clean riding Gold
Win 10 Races without using Rewind in Grand Prix, Championship or Career mode.

This one is actually more tricky than you may expect, as you would be surprised how much you would naturally grab that button to rewind as soon as you crash…

Just make sure you have this in the back of your mind as you play through, and resist that urge if you have a 5 second lead or so.

Rewinding in Practice & Qualifying is still ok for this one.

Phenomenon of motorbikes Gold
Get at least the Bronze in 50 challenges in MotoGP™ Academy mode.

There are 105 “challenges” available within Single Player -> Training -> MotoGP™ Academy which involve achieving a specific sector time, or lap time on each circuit. You only need to achieve the Bronze timing within 50 of these challenges, so no need to waste your time trying to get the Gold.

It is also quicker just to do the 4 individual sector challenges, with the full lap one being skipped.

MotoGP™ Championship victory Gold
Win the MotoGP™ Championship in Career mode.

You will achieve the Championship trophies in each category when it is mathematically impossible for someone else to pass you in the championship, and the trophy will pop at the end of the race that gets you to that point. This can be done in Short, or Long Season.

You will need to ensure you work your way through the 3 categories starting at Moto3™, if you are trying to optimise your playthroughs, and you will be given the opportunity to state your desire to move after the fourth race (if playing Short season), so make sure you do choose to move otherwise you may be stuck in your current team for another season.

  1. I would highly advise not to play this game. Worst racing game I’ve ever played, it’s also extremely broken, the Extra challenges are also very broken meaning you will waste hours because of this.

      1. It’s not hard whatsoever, it’s a very easy plat. It’s a terrible and broken game. It’s that bad the AI literally go flying off the track because the brakes don’t work properly. This is also the worst rated on the PS store, and I’m not surprised.

  2. How to activate RHD? I tried like 20 times in tutorial but never passed the test. When the icon is green is should be “on” apparently to the internet, right?
