Introduction

Welcome to the SBK™22 trophy guide!
The first SBK game since Generations in 2012, and Milestone does not disappoint; “Saddle up your Superbike and show what you’re made of while racing in the official 2022 WorldSBK™.
After ten years, SBK™ returns with a title more immersive and engaging than ever, created with the contribution of real riders to make you experience the thrill of competition!

Roadmap

Step 1: Time Trial
Use this as a tutorial, or a practice to get used to any new mechanics this year’s game may have. You can of course complete this in one session or split it up if you’re getting bored of running one track over and over.

Make sure that each of the 25 laps you need to complete are “valid laps”, or this will take longer than it is supposed to. You are also required to complete consecutive valid laps.

You’ll be earning these trophies:
Bronze Perfect Race
Silver Zealous

Step 2: Multiplayer
A simple multiplayer once again that can be boosted with one other. Only one player actually has to race, so self-boosting is also possible here. You’ll also need to ensure you “Complete a multiplayer race wearing your custom helmet”, and you’re all done after 15 races.

During this step you’ll earn the following trophies:
Bronze Newbie
Silver Time to Show Off
Silver Megalomaniac
Gold Competition’s in Your Blood

Step 3: Career Mode
The majority of your time will be spent here, and with most of the trophies related to progressing your team within this mode you’ll also net the most trophies whilst here.
There are 13 tracks within the SBK Career Mode that you will need to win at least one race on.

Keep progressing your team, upgrading your bike, and fighting for that championship and you’ll have this mode done in no time.

There are a few other things worth noting here –

  • Complete 10 Race with Tyre Wear & Fuel Consumption active
  • Obtain Pole Position in Qualifying
  • Obtain Pole Position & Win the Race
  • Execute a Manual Start
  • Serve a Long Lap Penalty
  • Negotiate a Contract Offer successfully
  • Complete at least 1 valid lap with each development package during the Winter Tests
  • Beat the time threshold with both bikes during the Mid-Season Tests

During this step you’ll earn all of the other trophies, and the Platinum – 40-platinum SBK™22

Tips and Strategies

The majority of trophies will be earned within Career Mode so when you first start out the game make sure to select the “Easy” option, as you’ll then only need to complete 25% race distances with the AI at 30% difficulty (this can then be changed to 20% in the Race Options prior to starting the race). There is no need to add to the difficulty if you are purely going for the Platinum.

Pole Position Genius
Conquer the Pole position in Round, Championship, or Career mode.

Setting the fastest lap in Qualifying will get you that coveted Pole Position.

A Ride in the Park Gold
Conquer the Pole position and win a race in Round, Championship, or Career mode.

You’ll need to be the fastest in Qualifying, and finish first in the relevant race in order to unlock this one.

Long Lap
Serve the penalty by driving down the Long Lap Penalty lane.

This can be done during race, or practice. After your 5th warning for exceeding track limits (cutting corners) you will be served with a Long Lap penalty. This would mean that you would need to go around the outside of a designated corner and stay within track limits there.
Using the Assisted settings will still net you the trophy here.

After being served the penalty, you will have 4 laps to complete this, or you will be disqualified. If you happen to get this penalty during a race, and you do not have enough laps left to complete it, then you will be served with a 5 second penalty at the end of the race (which will not count for the trophy).

Carpe Diem Gold
Execute a manual start without being given a warning.

Manual Starts can be toggled on/off prior to any race within the Riding Aids screen, and in order to achieve this one you simply need to stay away from the throttle () until the red light goes out.

There is no real need to hold the clutch in with the , however you can if you wish.

Everybody Knows You Gold
Reach a Reputation level higher than 300,000 as a rider in Career mode.

See Gold On Top of the World.

Experienced Specialist Gold
Complete at least 1 valid lap with each development package during the Winter Tests.

The “Winter Test” is a preseason testing phase prior to the SBK career calendar starting. During this weekend you will have the choice of 3 new bikes to try out.

All you’ll need to do is complete one valid lap on each bike, and the trophy will be yours.

Change for the Better Gold
Change your Personal Manager, Chief Engineer, and Telemetrist at least once in Career mode.

Within your home screen in Career mode, you will be able to see your 3 staff members, and throughout your playthrough you will be granted permission to hire others in these positions.

Wait until you have completed a few races and then simply swap these out for new ones.

It will cost money to do so, so it may be worth waiting until you have some decent cash on the bank.

Megalomaniac Gold
Complete a multiplayer race wearing your custom helmet.

When you enter the Multiplayer Lobby, you will have the option to select an Official Riders, or Factory Teams. Selecting an Factory Teams will result in your custom rider participating in the race, and therefore your custom helmet.

You will need to create one via the Customisation tab in the Main Menu and then “Share” & “Apply” it in order for it to be available online. This can be done whilst saving any changes.

Indomitable Gold
Beat the time threshold with both bikes during the Mid-Season Tests.

When you come across the mid season test make sure you try out both bikes before finishing the weekend. You will also need to beat the time threshold set, but this is not difficult in the slightest.

Perfect Race
Complete 5 consecutive valid laps in Time Trial mode.

Completing 5 consecutive valid laps in Time Trial, is actually fairly tricky for a newcomer, as with the slightest movement off of the track, or a crash, your lap will become invalid.

You will need to complete 25 laps in total within Time Trial for Silver Zealous, so do not stress too much about this. There is also a little trick to keep your streak going, as you are able to pause and “Restart Flying Lap” if you do happen to crash or go off of the circuit. This will keep your streak alive and help you on your way to achieving this.

Fully Tested Gold
Complete all Development Tests during a weekend as a rider in Career mode.

During any Free Practice session head into the Development Test tab and take a look at the requirements. There are a number of different objectives, that are constantly changing from race to race, so simply go for one you feel comfortable with.

You will be set specific objectives that need achieving either over the course of the weekend, or purely within the Free Practice sessions that can range from improving your time over the course of a few laps, or changing your set up to improve your time, to things like completing a lap on each of the tire compounds or achieving entry to Qualifying.

Negotiation Wizard Gold
Ensure that a Team accepts your counteroffer during a negotiation in Career mode.

As you improve the expectations of you team during your career, you should think about pushing back just a little on the first contract offer.

All you need to do is adjust any of the parts of the contract slightly and then wait another week for them to come back to you. Don’t push your luck too much here as a single credit adjustment is enough to warrant getting the trophy.

Contract negotiations will begin at week 37 of Career mode.

The King of Profit Gold
Earn 1,000,000 Credits in Career mode.

Depending on how you do throughout your career, and what contracts you sign, you can expect to reach this number towards the end of your second season. You can speed things up by having a personal manager that is high on credits, however the difference is minimal in this area. Just concentrate on winning each race and this will come naturally.

On Top of the World Gold
Reach a Reputation level higher than 500,000 as a rider in Career mode.

Depending on how you do throughout your career, and what contracts you sign, you can expect to reach this number towards the middle of your second season. You can speed things up by having a personal manager that is high on reputation, however the difference is minimal in this area. Just concentrate on winning each race and this will come naturally.

Until the End
Complete 10 races with wear and consumption active in Round, Championship, or Career mode.

Within the Race Options you have the ability to switch this on and off. Make sure that the option “Tyre and fuel consumption” is set to “Proportionate”.

“Superpole Races” also count for this trophy, so you will get it midway through your fourth weekend, and you can switch this off before the next weekend once this trophy is obtained.

Research and Development
Complete the bike development in Career mode.

Development begins from the moment you start out the game. You progress towards completing the development is carried through your entire career, so it is best to start out from the very first race.

For every race weekend I found the best possible way to earn development credits was to do at least one lap in Free Practice One, rather than just skipping straight to the qualification round. This way you are earning more performance credits.

Continue to move your staff amongst the sections to ensure you have enough credits building up.

You can expect to earn this towards the middle to end of your second season.

Zealous Gold
Complete 25 valid laps in Time Trial mode.

Completing consecutive valid laps in Time Trial, is actually fairly tricky for a newcomer, as with the slightest movement off of the track, or a crash, your lap will become invalid.

You will need to complete 25 “valid laps” in total within Time Trial, which can be fairly tricky for a newcomer, as with the slightest movement off of the track, or a crash, your lap will become invalid.

There is a little trick, as you are able to pause and “Restart Flying Lap” if you do happen to crash or go off of the circuit.

Stopwatch Artist
Reach your Qualification objective 15 times in Career Mode.

The SBK season features 12 Race Weekends consisting of 1 Superpole Qualifying session, 2 Races, and a single Superpole Race. You will therefore reach this objective within a few races of your second season.

A Promise Kept
Reach your Race objective 15 times in Career Mode.

The SBK season features 12 Race Weekends consisting of 1 Superpole Qualifying session, 2 Races, and a single Superpole Race. You are only given 1 Race Objective per weekend, so you will therefore reach this objective within a few races of your second season.

Time to Show Off Gold
Complete 10 multiplayer races.

See Gold Competition’s in Your Blood.

World Champion Gold
Win the Championship as a rider in Career mode.

This trophy will pop when it is mathematically impossible for anyone to catch your points tally before the season finishes. You do not have to wait till the end of the season for it to pop.

You can set the difficulty within the Race Options prior to starting out any of the races, and you can also lower the Race Length to 5 Laps to get through this as quickly as possible.

Competition’s in Your Blood Gold
Complete 15 multiplayer races.

The quickest way to complete online is to grab a boosting partner and run laps of Donington. Head into a lobby by yourselves and set up the races on 15% Length (3 Laps) with Superpole disabled (You can also turn collisions off if you wish).

Each race will take around 6 minutes (including loading screens) to complete, and you do not have to actually cross the line at the end of the third lap in order for it to count as “complete”. As long as you are in the race when the counter reaches zero it will count as finishing that particular race; which makes these trophies easy to self boost, if you are that way inclined.

Cross-play has not been enabled for this game.

Newbie
Complete 5 multiplayer races.

See Gold Competition’s in Your Blood.

The Road to Fame
Reach a Reputation level higher than 185,000 as a rider in Career mode.

See Gold On Top of the World.

Entrepreneur Gold
Earn 500,000 Credits in Career mode.

See Gold The King of Profit.

Student
