Introduction

Welcome to the Wife Quest trophy guide!
Your husband Fernando has been captured by demon girls again! Take up your sword and get him back in this fun action platformer.

Roadmap

Step 1: Beat The Game
In the first step, you’ll need to worry about beating the game. There are 6 levels to get through and they take a good amount of time to get through. If you see the “Progress Saved” message at a checkpoint, that means that you can then leave and come back without losing progress. To prepare yourself for the game, get all the weapon upgrades as fast as you can. With your left over gold, get health upgrades. By the last level, have maxed out weapons, health, and at least two potion slots, so you can take in at least one health potion and one mana potion. Remember to go to Ymir’s store after every level as well for some dialogue towards a trophy! At the end of this stage you’ll have most of the trophy list!

Step 2: Minigame!
At the end of the game, you’ll unlock a minigame and will be tossed back to the main menu anyways, so may as well do this now. The minigame feels like an alpha build of the game, and just includes 4 little levels to work through with a boss at the end. Once you finish the minigame, you’ll have one more trophy done.

Step 3: Magic Mode
Now is the time to start up Magic Mode and get the last boss related trophy done. In Magic Mode, you have all the available power ups automatically and infinite mana. So now you can beat Morganna in the Grasslands. So start on a new file, and be cautious, because if you lose, you’ll need to make another save file. Refer to the trophy information for a video. At the end of this step, you’ll only need one more trophy.

Step 4: Money Grinding
Now it is time to grind out gold to buy everything from Ymir’s store! The best place I found for grinding was in level five, the Freezing Plains. Go to it on the map, and hit X on it to select it. Now select the second stone checkpoint. This should put you in 11-22. Now work your way up to the top checkpoint. Now go right, and kill the yeti girl, the ice unicorn, and the second yeti girl. Now go to the body of the ice unicorn and drop down to kill three more enemies. Once they’re dead, drop down into the ice spikes. Now rinse and repeat. When you’re efficient you can get up to 120 gold in about 35 seconds! You can leave the level anytime through the pause menu and you’ll keep your gold! After you buy everything, you’ll have the platinum.

Jealous Wife Start a new journey in Wife Quest.

After you start the game, and pick a file, and a difficulty, you’ll be greeted to a cutscene. Once it’s over, this trophy will unlock.

I Lost My Fernando Be defeated in battle against Morganna in the Grasslands.

In the first set of levels, which is the Grasslands, you’ll catch up to Morganna in 12-14. You end up losing the fight in the long run and getting this trophy.

Sassy Helper Discover Morganna’s plan at Ymir’s store.

After you beat the Grasslands, Mia talks about going to Ymir’s store. Once you get the prompt, hit triangle to do so. After all the dialogue, you’ll get this trophy.

Always Prepared Buy a bag and a potion at Ymir’s store.

Once you buy the bag for 200 gold, buy a potion for 100 gold and get this trophy.

Will My Fernando Like It? Buy the first set of upgrades, sword, armor and magic stone.

For this trophy, you have to beat the first level to unlock the store. Then you have to buy the first set of upgrades in the store. Those being the sword, magic stone, and gloves, at 500 gold each. Once you do that, you get this trophy.

Impertinent Fly Defeat Tania in Fairy Forest.

The second level of the game, called Fairy Forest, is where you’ll meet Tania. At the end of the stage you’ll finally fight her and she’ll have two health bars you have to work your way through. As you damage her, she’ll sprout two plants at the bottom of the screen that will hit you if you’re on the bottom platform. They also go right through your shield so you’ll need to stick to the high ground. The problem with Tania is that you’ll never know what attack she is about to do. Either throwing projectiles at you, or making an enemy, it’s always best to block when she flashes to start an attack. When you can hit her, don’t go all in. After a few handful of attacks, it’s best to guard just in case she starts moving. When she moves she can hurt you, but you can also hurt her. After you destroy one health bar, the arena changes. But stick to the same strategy and you should win easily. Refer to the video below if you need a visual aid.

Inconvenient Drunk Defeat Red in Deep Caves.

In the third level of the game, Deep Caves, you’ll find Red at the very end. She is the boss of the level. This fight is actually fairly easier than Tania. Red has a couple of attacks that she can do. Between hitting you with her club and making rocks fly from that ground that can hurt you, to drinking from her gourd and blowing fire, to slamming the ground and making stalactites fall on your head. As you progress in the fight, she’ll also summon two archers to shoot arrows at you that you can’t reach. Luckily EVERY attack can be guarded with your shield. So that means you don’t even have to move throughout the fight if you don’t want to. The matter is, will your mana hold up? After you beat her, the trophy unlocks and you get a new ability! Refer to the video below for a visual aid!

Stupid Gecko Defeat Sily in Hellcano.

For this, you have to beat the fourth level, Hellcano, and Sily at the end of it. Sily is an annoying boss, as you sort of can’t stop moving. She will jump in the air, and kick you. Use your block to avoid it, then immediately start moving, as she will do one of many attacks. Either swipe at you once, which you can then damage her. Put lava pillars under you one at a time, for a total of three times. Jump to the right of the screen and shoot balls at you, that you can block. Or cause pillars to raise and lower in intervals, which is a great time to damage her. When she has one health bar left, she will change the map. Simply go to the far left corner, and she will just kick and swipe you. After you block both attacks, attack her more, then block when she does them again. Rinse and repeat. Once she’s beaten, you get the trophy.

In Search Of My Hubby Buy all upgrades, weapons, armor and magic stones at Ymir’s store.

For this trophy, you have to buy all the upgrades for your sword, magic stone, and gloves. There are 4 upgrades for each, you unlock new sets after every level. The last set appears after the fourth level, Hellnado. In total you’ll need 6,000 gold to get them all.

Nothing Cold About Her Defeat Fria in Freezing Plains.

For this trophy, you have to beat the fifth level, Freezing Plains, and beat Fria at the end! This fight makes you use a lot of mana. Fria will teleport around the map and make many clones. You have to run around and figure out what one is the real one. If you find her, be prepared to block arrows from all the others. If you the real one is the last one, block her arrows, which there are 4 of, and then get close and attack her. She will stand still for a while if you attack her. Throughout the fight she may spawn a snowflake that follows you, and one that shoots ice. These will disappear eventually. You can run, or block them. Once she has one health bar left, she just makes the arena more slippery. Repeat the same strategy to put her down quickly.

Do You Know What Time It Is, Stinky Witch? Defeat Morganna in Morganna’s Castle.

The final fight with Morganna in the sixth level, Morganna’s Castle, is a two phase fight, and I recommend going in with an upgraded pack and at least one of each potion, with all the health upgrades bought.. In the first phase, it’s just you against Morganna. She will use her elements to attack you, and most can be deflected with your shield and knocked back to her. When she isn’t attacking, she floats around the arena and you can hit her. Be warned though, as this uses a lot of Mana to be able to beat her. So come in with a mana potion. For the second phase, I recommend having a health potion. Morganna will summon all the other bosses to her. But this time they all have one health bar each. Only problem? You’ll be fighting them all at once. So try your hardest to watch your health, use your health potion at one health left to get full health, and just keep swinging at the bosses! Once you beat them all, the trophy is yours!

My Fernando Is Saved! Complete Wife Quest on normal mode.

Simply beat the game and save your husband!

Gossip Girl Follow all the dialogues between Mia and Ymir.

After every level, if you return to Ymir’s store, not only do you get more upgrades, you also get new dialogue about the next area. You have to visit her shop after every level and listen to the dialogue to get this trophy after the dialogue you get once you go to the store after the Freezing Plains.

Great Heart Collect all great hearts.

Once you buy all five health upgrades at Ymir’s store, this will unlock. In total you’ll need 2,200 gold for all five of them!

Better Safe Than Sorry Buy all bags at Ymir’s store.

For this trophy, you need to buy all the bag upgrades from Ymir’s store. There are 6 bags to buy and in total will cost you 2,700 Gold.

They Will Learn A Lesson Get all punishment animations.

When you defeat an enemy, it will lay on the ground you can push down on the d-pad to do a little execution move. You have to do this one every single enemy at least once. If you have the prompt to skip the execution, you’ve done it before. The executions on the bosses are done automatically once you beat them. If you executed every enemy at least once, then this will pop once you beat the game. 

Cute Amazon Start a new journey on magic mode.

Once you beat the game, you unlock Magic Mode. Simply start a new game in Magic Mode and get this trophy.

Insistent Brat Defeat Morganna in Grassland.

This is impossible on your very first run. When you beat the game, you unlock Magic Mode, which gives you all the abilities in the game, with unlimited mana. Start a new game on a new file and select “Magic Mode”. Then get to Morganna at the end of the first level. When she’s flying around, try to hit her with an Ice Arrow using L1. She will only use the wind element and the fire element the whole battle. So block them when she does it, sending the fire back at her for damage. This is a long drawn out fight sadly because of the little amount of damage you do. But keep at it, and you’ll win eventually! But if you die, you have to start another new game! As you only get one attempt per save!

You unlock Ymir’s store after you beat the first level in the game. You then have to spend your gold coins on items in the shop. • Gloves (Attack Speed) = 500×4 Gold
• Photograph = 100, 200, 300 Gold
• Radio Songs = 200, 300, 400 Gold
• Health Potion = 100 Gold (After you purchase Bag For Potions)
• Mana Potion = 100 Gold (After you purchase Bag For Potions)
• Large Bag = 500×5 Gold (After you purchase Bag For Potions)

First Wife Quest Complete the Wife Quest mini-game.

After you beat the game, you unlock a Wife Quest minigame. This is just 4 little levels, with a boss fight at the end. The hardest part about this is that the controls aren’t the best and you only have a few hit points. Luckily you can jump over just about every enemy. The biggest problem is the rock throwing enemies with blue hair. I recommend hopping over their rocks then hitting them three times to kill them. The other issue is the boss at the end. As it takes a lot of hits, and you only take 3. Its most basic attack is that it slams on the ground and makes a little dirt come from the ground. So hit it 4 or 5 times, then it’ll flash, then back away and let it attack. Rinse and repeat until you win!
