Introduction
Welcome to the MXGP PRO trophy guide!
The 2018 version of the official MXGP Series game from Milestone expands on the previous series by adding new mechanics to enhance your experience. It is therefore the most desirable MXGP game to date.
If you have played an older generation MXGP game in the past, then be prepared for something a little different here. The game has evolved, and with that the graphics have improved, as well as major changes to the controls of the bikes. It is also not the simple platinum that the previous games have offered.
Roadmap
Step 1: Introduction & Training
Start out by completing the introductory riding tutorial, and then head into the Training Mode to begin your journey. Here you will learn everything that you will need in order to be successful, and more.
You’ll be earning these trophies:
What?!

Step 2: Grand Prix Mode / Custom Championship
For this step you’re going to need to win a single race using one of the Official Riders in Grand Prix mode with the weather set to Rain, and participate within a Custom Championship (4 races minimum).

Step 3: Career
Work your way from MX2 into MXGP, as you race to become the ultimate rider! There are 19 race destinations with 2 races over each weekend, which can be completed with minimum effort on Very Easy, and Race Only Weekends.
Be sure to pick a MXGP team to join at the end of your MX2 season, otherwise you’re in for another year in the second class!

Step 4: Time Attack
Time Attack in these games is normally a pretty painless affair; this year round however it is going to be the hardest step, due the inability to download a friends ghost time to beat. Take a look at the trophy description to gather some more information on the subject.
During this step you’ll earn these trophies:
Who you gonna call?
Step 5: Miscellaneous & Grind
You will probably have most of these trophies, however now is the time to clean up and finish off everything for that Platinum. Congrats on reaching this far!
During this step you’ll earn the following trophies:
Theory and practice
Hitchhiking
Picture perfect
Safety first
MXGP PRO look
Pacer
With your feet on the ground

![]() ![]() Beat another player’s Ghost time in Time Attack mode |
This is the platinum breaker, and is one of those that will progressively get harder as time passes due the broken online ranking system. It appears that Milestone intended to give you the ability to challenge your friends, as on XBox this achievement is one of the easiest ones to do. On PlayStation however you are unable to download a friends “Ghost” time, so you actually have to take on the worlds best times!
You can choose from any of the tracks in the game, and any of the riders from MXGP & MX2. You are required (unless it is fixed) to beat a time from the worlds’ Top 60 (MXGP), or Top 35 (MX2), which of course will get progressively harder as time passes, and more and more people push for this trophy.
Now that the bad news it out of the way, here’s the good news. The trophy description is actually somewhat misleading, as you do not actually have to beat the time of the ghost (this is clearly seen in the screenshot below when you compare my fastest lap Vs. the 60th placed at the time).
In order to get this trophy you have to beat the ghost on track. This will be of benefit once you find that track you are comfortable with, and are ready to take on the world. This will unfortunately only come with time and practice, and can actually be the first trophy you go for if you skip the tutorial at the beginning. This way you can experience the game and see how close you will get to the timings. Good Luck!

You therefore will only be awarded a maximum of 38 podiums over the course of your 2 career seasons, which will leave you quite a few to complete post collecting the 2 championship trophies.
You can either continue your career, which isn’t advised, as you would have to do a weekend each time, or grind these out in Grand Prix mode on the shortest possible track with single races enabled.
