Introduction

Welcome to the Sushi Break 2 trophy guide!
A ‘Brick Breaker’ game from Indie Developers “SMobile, Inc” (otherwise known as BreakSushi), and we’re back with the sequel of where it all started.

Roadmap

Step 1: Play with 3 different Characters
Hopefully all you will need is this step. With the tips outlined in the guide below you should have no issues obtaining all the trophies.
My personal favourite Characters are outlined below. Should you not obtain the trophies during your games with these 3 characters, feel free to branch out to a few other notable ones – Ami (1st), Hana (2nd) & Hitomi (7th).

Be sure to go back to the Main Menu after winning each match and selecting a different character as many people forget to do this.

Tips and Strategies

For a number of these titles there have been very specific characters that you can choose in order to increase the chances of a certain power up arriving. This release is no different, as the standard pattern of characters can be followed in order to speed up your playthrough.

As outlined in the Roadmap you will need to play with 3 different characters for Gold 3 characters played and in order to try and obtain all other trophies as quickly as possible you are advised to follow the following order –

  1. Tami (Character 4) – Good for Coins & Bronze No power ups collected.
  2. Rai (Character 3) – Silver Moving items destroyed, Gold Stationary mini bosses defeated & All types of Power Up drops.
  3. Seina (Character 5) – Silver Maki defeated.

Trophy Guide

Sushi Break 2 master
Collected all the trophies in the game.

Collected all the trophies in the game.

Fast player Bronze
Completed a level quickly.

In order to obtain this trophy you will need to clear the of all objects and enemies within 100 seconds. There are multiple characters that you can achieve this with and you shouldn’t have too many issues.

Personally, I achieved this trophy with the 3rd Character Rai.

Slow player Bronze
Completed a level slowly.

In order to obtain this trophy you will need to clear the level of all objects and enemies taking more than 130 seconds. There are multiple characters that you can achieve this with and you shouldn’t have too many issues. Feel free to utilise all your lives if you are clearing the levels quicker than you need too.

Personally, I achieved this trophy with the 4th Character Tami.

Big Tuna defeated Bronze
Defeated Big Tuna mini boss.

The bosses are randomly generated to appear after destroying a certain amount of breakables and can be an additional obstacles when they do. “Big Tuna” appears in a number of matches/levels and can be earned at any time throughout your playthrough.

In order to destroy the boss you will need to hit it with your projectiles or power-up until their life has diminished.

Personally, I achieved this trophy with the 3rd Character Rai.

Lil Roll defeated Bronze
Defeated Lil Roll mini boss.

The bosses are randomly generated to appear after destroying a certain amount of breakables and can be an additional obstacles when they do. “Lil Roll” appears in a number of matches/levels and can be earned at any time throughout your playthrough.

In order to destroy the boss you will need to hit it with your projectiles or power-up until their life has diminished.

Personally, I achieved this trophy with the 4th Character Tami.

Wasaaabi defeated Bronze
Defeated Wasaaabi mini boss.

The bosses are randomly generated to appear after destroying a certain amount of breakables and can be an additional obstacles when they do. “Wasaaabi” appears in a number of matches/levels and can be earned at any time throughout your playthrough.

In order to destroy the boss you will need to hit it with your projectiles or power-up until their life has diminished.

Personally, I achieved this trophy with the 4th Character Tami.

Turbo player Bronze
Hit ball 3 times in turbo paddle mode without losing life.

The “Turbo Paddle” is activated by holding down the  button. This causes a slight change in colour to your paddle and also increases the speed in which it moves.
You will need to hold  & and return the projectile 3 times without losing a life in order to achieve this trophy.

Sticky player Bronze
Caught ball 3 times with sticky paddle without losing life.

The “Sticky Player” power-up enables the projectile to be effectively “caught” by your paddle. This is a great little tool as you are able to then move your projectile to the other side of the screen without worrying.
For this trophy you will need to “catch” it and then return it into the game by pressing  3 times without losing a life.

Personally, I achieved this trophy with the 1st Character Ami.

Shielded player Bronze
Hit ball 3 times with shield (bottom wall) without losing life.

Another great power-up, as you are effectively given a wall at the bottom of the screen that your projectile cannot pass.

Once you have collected this simply move your paddle out of the way and let it do its job.

Personally, I achieved this trophy with the 3rd Character Rai.

Invincible player Bronze
Survived a mini boss attack through invincible paddle.

Once collected, the “Invincible” power-up will enable you to be shot by bosses without losing a life. Your paddle will turn a shade of yellow, which means the power-up is active, and is therefore impenetrable.

Once you have it simply position yourself underneath a boss for as long as possible and let their attack hit you.

Personally, I achieved this trophy with the 3rd Character Rai.

Slow and steady Bronze
Destroyed 3 items with slow ball without losing life.

The “Slow Ball” power-up seems to be more of a hinderance than a help. With this your projectile speed is reduced to 0.5x.

The 3rd Character Rai is normally a great character to use when going for this trophy, as they always seem to spawn a great variety of different power-ups.

If you are failing to get this through normal play, feel free to keep restarting a level with this character and you will eventually come across a slow ball as one of the first power-ups you collect. This will then help as most of the breakables will still be within reach.

Personally, I achieved this trophy with 2nd Character Hana.

Laser collected Bronze
Collected a laser power up.

This is my favourite power-up. The “Laser” will help you destroy everything in no time at all.
Once this is collected simply mash  ;and watch those breakables disappear!

Personally, I achieved this trophy with the 3rd Character Rai.

Wide paddle collected Bronze
Collected a wide paddle power up.

The “Wide Paddle” doubles the size of your paddle, thus increasing your chances of returning the projectile into the main game area. It also has the disadvantage of being a bigger target for the bosses.

Personally, I achieved this trophy with the 3rd Character Rai.

Fireball collected Bronze
Collected a fireball power up.

One of the best power-ups, the “Fireball” will destroy almost all things in its path without being bounced back to you.

Personally, I achieved this trophy with the 5th Character Seina.

3-ball collected Bronze
Collected a 3-ball power up.

A “3-ball” power-up gives you additional projectiles to cope with. Don’t worry too much if one goes past you because as long as you have one active projectile you will still be in the round.

Personally, I achieved this trophy with the 5th Character Seina.

Laser lord Bronze
Destroyed 5 items with laser without losing life.

The “Laser” power-up will help you destroy everything in no time at all.
For this trophy you will need to destroy 5 breakables without losing a life once the power-up is collected. Remember, it’s a simple as mashing the  and watching those breakables disappear!

Personally, I achieved this trophy with the 3rd Character Rai.

Fireball fury Bronze
Destroyed 5 items with fireball without losing life.

The “Fireball” power-up will help you destroy everything in no time at all.
For this trophy you will need to destroy 5 breakables without losing a life once the power-up is collected.

Personally, I achieved this trophy with the 5th Character Seina.

Mega bomb Bronze
Destroyed 3 items with a bomb.

With the “Mega Bomb” you are able to position your aim with , into whatever area you are struggling to destroy. Pressing the  will then fire an explosion so big that it destroys all breakables around it.

The 3rd Character Rai is normally a great character to use when going for this trophy, as they always seem to spawn a great variety of different power-ups.

Personally, I achieved this trophy with the 3rd Character Rai.

Tea pots broken Bronze
Broke 3 tea pots in a level.

The “Tea pots” can only be destroyed by the “Laser”, “Fireball”, or “Mega Bomb. These do not appear in every level, however, in line with the Roadmap, you will come across 6 whilst using the 3rd Character Rai.

Personally, I achieved this trophy with the 3rd Character Rai.

Combo power up collected Bronze
Collected a combo of 3 or more power ups.

You will need to have 3 or more power-ups active at the same time in order to obtain this trophy.

Personally, I achieved this trophy with the 3rd Character Rai.

All power ups collected Bronze
Collected all powers ups and collectibles in level.

You are required to collect all the dropped power ups within a single game in order to achieve this trophy. Coins do not count for this, so feel free to let them past.

Personally, I achieved this trophy with the 3rd Character Rai.

No power ups collected Bronze
Completed a level without collecting any power ups.

Power-ups are dropped when you smash through the relevant breakable, and for this trophy you will need to make it through a level without collecting any of them.

A great character to use for this trophy is the 4th Character Tami, as during the first match with this character you will only encounter “Coins” dropping. These can be collected and do not count against us for this trophy.

Mini boss attacks survived Bronze
Survived all mini boss attacks in a level.

Mini bosses appear after destroying a certain amount of breakables. In order to achieve this trophy you will need to ensure that you are not killed by any of the bosses that appear throughout a single level. You can be joined by a number of bosses throughout a level, so the quicker you finish it, the more chance there is of survival.

Personally, I achieved this trophy with the 4th Character Tami.

7 lives win Bronze
Completed a level with 7 lives remaining.

When you first start a level you will begin with 5 lives. further lives are added by either collecting a “Heart” power-up or at the end of the match for every 10,000 points scored.

You should obtain this trophy whilst going for the majority of the others as long as you do not die too often.

Personally, I achieved this trophy with the 4th Character Tami.

30K points scored Bronze
Scored 30000 points in a level.

See Silver 40K points scored.

3 stars earned Bronze
Earned total 3 stars in game.

See Gold 7 stars earned.

3 coins collected Bronze
Collected total 3 coins in game.

See Gold 7 coins collected.

High 5 player Silver
Destroyed objects at 5x speed.

In order to increase the speed of your projectile you will need to continuously return it into the main playing area. The speed will increase the quicker you are able to hit it back and forth. You will also need to stay away from collecting power-ups whilst you are attempting to increase your speed, as these will simply ruin your chances.

This is done effectively right at the beginning of some levels as the objects are closer to you than later in the game.

Personally, I achieved this trophy with the 4th Character Tami.

Immortal player Silver
Completed a level without losing life.

This is as simple as it sounds. With you needing to play with a minimum of 3 characters to obtain all of the trophies, you will already have at least 3 opportunities to obtain this one.

If you’re struggling then take your time and focus purely on the projectile, forgetting the power-ups. It goes without saying, however, that the quicker you complete a level, the less chance there is of losing a life.

40K points scored Silver
Scored 40000 points in a level.

Points are awarded based on the speed in which your projectile is travelling, and how quickly you chain the destroying of the breakables. You are also awarded an 1,000 point bonus for every life remaining when you finish the match.

You can obtain this trophy whilst using a number of different characters. If you are struggling try using the 4th Character Tami and focus purely on not loosing any lives. Hopefully you should just scrape by getting this trophy.

2 characters played Silver
Completed levels with 2 different characters in game.

See Gold 3 characters played.

5 stars earned Silver
Earned total 5 stars in game.

See Gold 7 stars earned.

5 coins collected Silver
Collected total 5 coins in game.

See Gold 7 coins collected.

Moving items destroyed Silver
Completed a level with moving items.

“Moving Items” do not appear in every match. You will come across moving items within the first couple of levels whilst playing normally.

If you happen to follow the Roadmap, then you will come across these whilst using the 3rd Character Rai.

Maki defeated Silver
Defeated Maki boss.

Maki is no ordinary boss. He is the type you may recall appearing in some of the earlier games, where you face off against them at the end of the match.
Lil Vlad will take some beating, as they have a lot of life to diminish. Have no fear though, as you can take as much time as you like with this one. Just avoided their attacks and you will be fine.

You will need to be using the 5th Character Seina to get Maki to appear.

Stationary mini bosses defeated Gold
Completed a level with stationary mini bosses.

As per the Roadmap, you will come across a “Stationary Mini Boss” whilst using the 3rd Character Rai. They do appear in a number of different matches using other characters, but why play more games if you do not need too?

This trophy will pop as soon as you finish a game with a “Stationary Mini Boss” appearance.

7 stars earned Gold
Earned total 7 stars in game.

Stars are awarded based on how quickly you complete a level, how many lives you lose, and how many points you obtain throughout the match.

These are cumulative, so simply winning 7 matches will net you this trophy. To minimise the amount of games you need to play, you will want to complete the games as clean, and as quick as possible.

7 coins collected Gold
Collected total 7 coins in game.

In line with the Roadmap you should come across 7 coins within your first game with the 4th Character Tami. If you are unlucky enough to only get 6, or you happen to miss some as they fall, feel free to restart the game.

These are cumulative, so you can collect and restart as many times as required.

3 characters played Gold
Completed levels with 3 different characters in game.

In order to play with 3 different characters you will need to return to the character select screen after each game. Once you have finished a game you will need to select “Menu” and then pick a different character. Simply selecting “Continue” will not net you this trophy.
