Roadmap

Step 1: Tutorials / Time Trial
Use this as a tutorial, or a practice to get used to any new mechanics this years game may have. Having only needing to complete 5 “valid laps” in Time Trial is a welcome addition as previous years may have left you in this stage for a lot longer. You’ll be moving onto the next step in no time, however be sure to finish the lap in the tutorial in order to obtain your first trophy.

You’ll be earning these trophies:
Bronze First steps
Bronze Always on the ball

Step 2: Multiplayer
A simple multiplayer once again that can be boosted with one other, with only one player actually has to race self-boosting is once again possible here. This year you will need to Reach the podium in 3 different online ranked races, and after that you are all done after completing 25 races total.

While you are looking at the multiplayer trophies take the opportunity to grab a second controller for Bronze Sofa rivals.

During this step you’ll earn these trophies:
Bronze Sofa rivals
Silver Nice view from here
Silver Important results
Silver The world is all mine

Step 3: Custom Championship
You will need to add 10 races to this championship as a minimum, and the settings you use within this championship will set you up for a quicker run through the career. Use this as an opportunity to get the 3 pole positions out of the way, as well as the standard perfect weekend that is required every year. Don’t forget to use a bike like the Ducati, as you’ll probably want to avoid this during the career due to the manufacturer leader requirements.

During this step you’ll earn these trophies:
Bronze I bend, I don’t break
Bronze Perfect weekend
Bronze Time for change

Bronze Triple win
Bronze Globetrotting

Step 4: Challenges
MotoGP™ Academy features challenges that involve achieving a specific sector time, or lap time on each circuit. You’ll only need to achieve the Bronze timing within 50 of these challenges, so no need to waste your time trying to get the Gold. It is also worth avoiding the whole lap time challenge, as these just take too much time.

During this step you’ll earn these trophies:
Bronze At one with the bike
Silver Efforts rewarded
Gold Phenomenon of motorbikes

Step 5: Career Mode
This is a shorter step this year due to the fact that you are able to select a trimmed down version of the season (Short Season), which only requires you to participate in 11 races. You will need to start off in Moto 3 as normal with these; however, as soon as you have obtained the relevant Moto3™ & Moto2™ Championship trophies, quit the career and start a new one in the higher category. You will keep your individual rider status moving into the next career, so there is no need to complete the full amount of races in the lower leagues.

During each career you will periodicaly come across challenges from the other riders, and here is your opportunity to obtain the 3 trophies related to winning races on the Flat Track, Motard & Minibike. Make sure to complete all three different races, as these are needed for trophies.

As default the AI Difficulty stands at 45% so you may wish to change this in the Race Settings when you first start out, and while you’re there make sure to turn the Race Length to 25% (minimum). You can also turn off Tyre Wear & Fuel Consumption this year as it’s not need for a trophy once again.

You will need at least one and half seasons in MotoGP in order to obtain Silver Point of reference.

There are a few other things worth noting here –

  • Win 10 Races without using Rewind (Can be done in Grand Prix, or Championship).
  • [MotoGP] Complete a valid lap with the two proposed bikes during a Test session in Career mode.
  • [MotoGP] Become manufacturer Leader in Career mode.

During this step you’ll earn these trophies:
Bronze Dirt domination
Bronze Sliding success
Bronze Victory in miniature
Bronze Team’s rising star
Bronze Double effort
Bronze Everyone in class
Silver Moto3™ Championship victory
Silver Rider of the day
Silver Point of reference
Silver Racing legend
Silver Moto2™ Championship victory
Silver Clean riding
Gold MotoGP™ Championship victory

Step 6: Miscellaneous
There are a few miscellaneous trophies that you may be outstanding by the time you reach the end of your career, however these will be dependant on the settings you used throughout your playthrough. Check out the individual trophy descriptions if you are missing any of the below.

During this step you’ll earn these trophies:
Bronze Collect them all
Bronze Did you bring an umbrella?

40-platinum MotoGP™25

Obtain Top Rider Status in Career mode.

This will come naturally on your way to obtaining Silver Racing legend.

Always on the ball
Complete 5 consecutive valid laps in Time Trial mode.

Completing 5 consecutive valid laps in Time Trial, is actually fairly tricky for a newcomer, as with the slightest movement off of the track, or a crash, your lap will become invalid.
There is also a little trick to keep your streak going, as you are able to pause and “Restart Flying Lap” if you do happen to crash, or go off of the circuit. This will keep your streak alive, and help you on your way to achieving this.

Time for change
Complete a Race with Arcade game experience in Grand Prix, Championship or Career mode.

Prior to starting any race you have the option to press and adjust the game experience, and all that is required is to complete a single grand prix with the settings adjusted to arcade.
This is also where you adjust the difficulty of the game

At one with the bike
Get at least the Bronze in 10 challenges in MotoGP™ Academy mode.

This will come naturally on your way to obtaining Gold Phenomenon of motorbikes.

Double effort
Complete a valid lap with the two proposed bikes during a test session in Career mode.

Once you finally make it to MotoGP™ you will participate in the Seasons Test right at the beginning of the season, and have the option to switch between two options of bikes whilst in the pit.

This will come naturally on your way to obtaining Silver Point of reference.

Collect them all
Complete a Race with each MotoGP™ Manufacturer in Grand Prix, Championship or Career mode.

You cannot combine this with you 25 online races by swapping bikes/teams between races, so you will need to do some 3 Lap Grand Prix to clean this up.
There are 5 different MotoGP™ manufacturers that you will need to complete at least one race with each –

  • Ducati
  • Yamaha
  • Aprilia
  • Honda
  • KTM
Did you bring an umbrella?
Win a Flag to Flag Race in Grand Prix, Championship or Career mode.

You can combine this into one of the Grand Prix needed for Bronze Collect them all. You will need to ensure that you set the Race Length to at least 50% otherwise this will not trigger. Weather conditions need to be Variable, and Forced weather transition to “From rainy to cloudy”, all the other settings as you please.
When it begins to rain (or dry out) during a race you will automatically be called into the pits to exchange bike and then go racing again, and when this triggers you’ll just need to let the action play out and watch for when you’re ready to take control of the bike.
This can be obtained in both MotoGP™ & Moto2™, but not Moto3™.

Globetrotting
Complete an Official MotoGP™ or a Custom Championship in Championship mode.

You will need to add 10 races to this championship as a minimum, and you can adjust the race settings to skip qualifying, with 3 lap races also. You do not need to actually participate in the races, so you can retire from each one to simply complete the championship, unless you are combining with other trophies.

Sofa rivals
Complete a Race in Split Screen mode.

A second controller is needed for this one. head to Multiplayer > Local and proceed to complete a single race. You can lower the difficulty if you wish (it doesn’t matter where you finish), and of course make sure you lower the Race Length to 3 Laps.

Moto3™ Championship victory Gold
Win the Moto3™ Championship in Career mode.

It is advised that you start off your championship journey with this championship as you get used to the game, and the mechanics. The Moto3™ class is a lower class with smaller and less powerful bikes, and therefore is an easier championship to win.
Your trophy will pop as soon as it is mathematically impossible for any of your rivals to catch you in the championship.

Biggest tip here for saving time is to have the settings at the lower difficulty rating (20%), and the shortest race length (10% – 4-7 laps). there is also no need to do practice & qualifying, so have Race Only settings enabled.

Rider of the day Gold
Obtain Superstar Rider Status in Career mode.

Earned naturally on your way to Silver Racing legend.

Important results Gold
Reach the podium in 3 different online ranked races.

This will count towards Silver The world is all mine, and can again be self boosted, and you will need to make sure to head to the ranked races before starting out.
Ranked races are for the more competitive racers online, however a podium can still easily be achieved by casual gamers due to the lack of online appeal with these games.

Boosting is possible between PS5 & PS4 this year as cross play functionality has been added.

Point of reference Gold
Become manufacturer Leader in Career mode.

You will need to move to the very top team within one of the manufacturers in MotoGP™, and then become the leader of the team.
When you get your first offer of a MotoGP™ bike you will have the opportunity to get a ride within an Independent, or a Satellite Team, and you will want to jump straight into an Indie team to reduce the time needed to get to the main manufacturer leaders. You’re best to avoid a Ducati seat here if they are offered, as they are the only manufacturer with 3 different teams available.

You will need to be the Team Leader in one of the following for this to count –

  • Ducati Lenovo Team
  • Red Bull KTM Factory Racing
  • Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP™
  • Honda HRC Castrol
  • Aprilla Racing

You’ll be the leader of your first team within a few races, so you’ll unlock Bronze Everyone in class naturally on the way to this, as long as you are picking the relevant rival during the rival selection screen. Be sure to read the rewards for beating a rival when you are there.

Racing legend Gold
Obtain Legend Rider Status in Career mode.

As you complete objectives throughout your playthrough you will be awarded XP, and as you progress further in the categories you will be awarded more and more for achieving those goals.

This will be earned naturally as you progress onto earning Gold MotoGP™ Championship victory.

Moto2™ Championship victory Gold
Win the Moto2™ Championship in Career mode.

It is advised that you progress through your championship journey from the lower classes, and adviance as you get used to the game, and the mechanics. The Moto2™ class is a trickier one this year as they have incorporated the realism of the lack of traction control within the championship.

Efforts rewarded Gold
Get at least the Bronze in 25 challenges in MotoGP™ Academy mode.

This will be earned naturally on your way to Gold Phenomenon of motorbikes.

Nice view from here Gold
Reach the podium in 3 different online races.

Unfortunately the MotoGP games do not seem to have a massive online appeal. This is truly unfortunate, as there never really seems to be too many people online at any one time. This is a bonus for this trophy however, as you should frequently comes across a lobby where there is only a couple of other people racing.

If you’re self boosting, then this will come without even thinking about it.

Boosting is possible between PS5 & PS4 this year as cross play functionality has been added.

The world is all mine Gold
Complete 25 online races.

This can be boosted with a partner in Private Matches, as you can simply both get disqualified for it to count as a complete race.

As per the normal in these multiplayer ones; if you are looking to get this done legit,as quick as possible, then keep racing round the Sachsenring (Germany), as this has the quicker lap times. You can expect to spend around 2.5 hours on this one alone if you do not go for the quick way mentioned, however, you can lower the race distance to 15% (3 laps) to make this slightly quicker if you wish.

Boosting is possible between PS5 & PS4 this year as cross play functionality has been added.

Clean riding Gold
Win 10 Races without using Rewind in Grand Prix, Championship or Career mode.

This one is actually more tricky than you may expect, as you would be surprised how much you would naturally grab that button to rewind as soon as you crash…
Just make sure you have this in the back of your mind as you play through, and resist that urge if you have a 5 second lead or so.

Phenomenon of motorbikes Gold
Get at least the Bronze in 50 challenges in MotoGP™ Academy mode.

There are 105 “challenges” available within Single Player -> Training -> MotoGP™ Academy which involve achieving a specific sector time, or lap time on each circuit. You only need to achieve the Bronze timing within 50 of these challenges, so no need to waste your time trying to get the Gold.
It is also quicker just to do the 4 individual sector challenges, with the full lap one being skipped.

MotoGP™ Championship victory Gold
Win the MotoGP™ Championship in Career mode.

You will achieve the Championship trophies in each category when it is mathematically impossible for someone else to pass you in the championship, and the trophy will pop at the end of the race that gets you to that point. This can be done in a short season consisting of a minimum of 11 races, and there is no need to participate in the practice & qualifying sessions; you will however need to make sure you deactivate the Sprint Race prior to starting the year, otherwise you will have to participate within the Sprint Race during each round, as this will become mandatory within the MotoGP™ Championship if you fail to do so.
Be sure to try to move into one of the manufacturer teams after the 4th race in order to reach Silver Point of reference quicker.
