Freenergy is a single player turn based strategy game that features mechs of varying mechanical statures. There are various bosses that are based upon animals you have to fight of varying difficulty upon you have to make sure you get to them as unharmed and as upgraded as possible.

I didn’t choose easy as I thought that might be a bit of cheating, Normal was a great difficulty to start off on as it makes you think about what to choose – the upgrades (when available) would definitely be the increased damage dealt and durability along with the energy reserve to make sure that your mech.

Normal is the perfect difficulty to choose if you know how to play strategy games. There are upgrades to upgrade your mech to deal with each level that precedes the last. It is advisable to choose around the energy reserves, damage dealt, and durability of your mech to last through each of the rounds per level. The enemy variety is great and upgrade choices are admirable giving gameplay a 10/10.

Grammar might need a little bit of checking but otherwise, the characters are awesome. You play as a Corporation solder named Naiv and you work with a relative for The Corporation to make sure what you do is acceptable to The Corporation. As you progress, you are given multiple areas to purchase and upgrade your mech for battle.

I love that as a turn-based strategy game, the upgrades are there and the enemy variants are wide. I am not much into strategy games but this is the type of strategy game that tech folks would love to play. Once I got the hang of the game, I really got hooked. I love how it has a retro look to it along with a pseudo-post-apocalyptic setting.
Summary
The variety of weapons means a great amount of customization especially in between battles where you could upgrade all but the body. The varying placements of enemies gives this tactical strategy a rogue-like element that would make you switch up your game. The varying equipment varies in how easy or how hard it would be to hit or get hit and that is a great addition to the Tactical Strategy game that Freenergy brings to the table.
