Welcome to the Bud Spencer & Terence Hill: Slaps and Beans trophy guide!
The first tribute game is dedicated to the most iconic Italian duo: Bud Spencer and Terence Hill who have connected and still connect different generations with their amazing movies.

Roadmap

Step 1: Play the game on Easy Mode (OPTIONAL: skip to step 3 then 2)
During this step, play the game in easy mode to become familiar with the controls and the two playable characters. Enjoy the story without worrying too much about the trophies.

Now it’s time to focus on the various miscellaneous trophies that the game has. Replay the levels you need to get them. Remember: some are easier and some are not and will require more than a try to achieve them.

Step 3: Complete the game on Hard mode and difficulty-related trophies
It’s time for the “hardest” part of the game: you need to finish the game while playing in hard mode. The enemies will be stronger and inflict more damage so be a little more careful.
Make sure to not fail all the duels with the guns, to complete the Lunapark level without taking any damage, and the dune buggy race (refer to the trophies description for more details)

TRINITY TRINITY

Obtain all trophies.

CRAYFISH TRIGGHY Win the Dune buggy race using only the reverse in hard mode

This trophy is not as simple as you need to win the Dune buggy race while driving in reverse in hard mode.
Instead of accelerating with the button, you need to press the button and drive all the way to the victory of the race. The car’s handling is clunky and the opponents are more aggressive in hard mode than easy mode so the race can be hard to win, but practice makes perfect.

However, there is a glitch that allows you to ease a lot of this trophy and you can use it to also get TRIGGHY.

• For CRAYFISH TRIGGHY; when the race begins, only press and drive all the way to the middle of the track, then do a 180° and reach the finish line. Repeat 2 times;
• For TRIGGHY; you can use the same method but this time, you can drive normally and not in reverse as you did before; if you can’t finish the race under 3:17 minutes, you can replay the race while playing in easy mode.

SAFETY FIRST Complete the chase without accidents with the other cars

This trophy can be obtained during the “Chase” level. To get it, you must avoid hitting all the other cars on the highway. Walls won’t void you the achievement though.

Make sure to use the horns by pressing the (most useful) or buttons to move the other vehicles from the road In front of you and use the turbo ( button) when you have a free path to reach the truck you are chasing in less time.

If you hit a vehicle by mistake, simply restart the level and retry.

TRIGGHY Complete the dune buggy race under 3 minutes and 17 seconds

Refer to CRAYFISH TRIGGHY for more info on how to get this trophy.

FRUIT NINJA Dodge any fruit that is thrown into the supermarket

When playing the “City” level, you will reach a supermarket area. Here a fruit throw battle will start and you will have to dodge every fruit the enemies throw at you while hitting them back.

You can use Terence and hide behind Bud to use him as a shield but you always need to pay attention. Also, playing in easy mode seems to be a little less tricky.

BULLDOZER Complete the Lunapark level without collecting powerup in hard mode

To earn this trophy, you must finish the “Amusement Park” level without picking up any powerups (beers, pan of beans, or weapons) while playing in hard mode.

The best way to do it is to use Bud’s or Terence’s run attack ( + ) on repeat.

Remember that you can die while attempting this trophy so don’t worry if you are running low on health.

MY NAME IS NOBODY Win all the duels without making a mistake in hard mode

The description of this trophy is misleading as you can make mistakes and the trophy will still pop. The only real requirement needed is to play the game in hard.

During the game, you will encounter some minigames where you have to shoot by pressing the button when the viewfinder is on an enemy. These minigames are:

• On the second floor of the saloon in the middle of the first level;
• At the end of the first level;
• After leaving the storage cabin on the second level.

THE LAST VALZER Complete a waltz without being hit

This trophy can be obtained during the “Airport” level. Once you reach the airstrip, a waltz will begin as background music: from now on, you need to avoid getting hit by all the enemies coming at you.

As always, play in easy mode and use Bud’s or Terence’s run attack ( + ) to eliminate enemies quickly. Once the waltz ends, if you haven’t received any hits, the trophy will pop, if not, simply restart the level and retry.

MEN IN BLACK Dress up Bud and Terence in black

This trophy is very simple to obtain but it’s complicated due to a poorly-made customization.

First of all, from the main menu select “Option” then “Colours”; Now you need to choose the Western style and change the color of the four available dresses to black (the bottom left square).

The characters need to be the same as the following image:

THE END! Complete the game in HARD mode

The hard mode differs from the easy mode because enemies deal more damage and have more health.
However, the game is not a challenge even if some parts might be tricky.

The best way to approach this run is by spamming the run attack ( + ) and letting the CPU do the hard work. Grab all the power-ups you can and you will succeed.

NOTE: even if it’s not mandatory, it’s advised to play in hard mode as your second playthrough so you know the game better and recognize where you might have a hard time.

CHOW DOWN Win the beer and sausage contest without making any mistakes

This trophy can be earned during the “Beer and Hot Dog” level and to get it, you need to win the related minigame without making any mistakes.

The beer and sausage contest is a minigame where you must press the corresponding buttons when they reach the rectangle at the bottom of the screen.
In this case, you can play in easy mode and drink some beer by pressing the button to slow down the pace of the minigame.

Be careful though as the AI is surprisingly on the ball and it will reach your score in no time if you drink too much.

METAL BEANS SOLID Reach the laboratory elevator without having triggered the alarm

This trophy must be done during the “Laboratory” level. There is a section where you need to play stealthily until you reach an elevator to avoid triggering the alarm.

Run below the lasers and avoid green areas, hide from the enemies behind the crates, and remain silent until you reach the elevator.
If you get detected, you can restart the level.

LET HER PLAY Leave the child on the Lunapark carousel for more than a minute

While playing the “Amusement Park” level, you will reach a part where you have to play as Terence to save a child from a carousel gone crazy.

Before jumping inside the control cabin and stopping the carousel, wait over a minute until the trophy pops.

SCIENTIST Complete the Laboratory level without using shoulder or flying kicks

You need to complete the “Laboratory” level without using the run attack ( + ).
The first part can be played in a stealth way so you can also go for  METAL BEANS SOLID and avoid combats, which can facilitate the trophy.

You can play in easy mode to make it even easier and faster.

PUNCHING BALL Pass the Lunapark pungiball on the first shot with Terence

This trophy can be earned during the “Amusement Park”. While playing, you will encounter Mr. Knacks blocking the way. He will challenge you at the punchball.

For the trophy, get close to the machine with Terence and press the button to trigger a minigame. you will have to stop the force meter when the yellow bar goes past the green line on your first attempt. 

EASY RIDER Reach the plane by motorcycle dodging all the crates

You can go for this trophy during the last level of the game.

You will have to reach an airplane while riding a motorcycle and, unfortunately, you will also have to dodge all the crates being thrown at you while staying close to the airplane.

If you get hit by a crate, restart the level and retry.

SAD STORY Listen to the touching story of the dwarf on stilts without interrupting him

This trophy refers to the final boss of the “Amusement Park” level. Once you reach him, don’t skip any dialogue and let him talk until the end.

He’s a chatterbox so it will take a little bit before popping the reward. Just be sure to not interrupt him.

WHO FINDS A FRIEND FINDS A TREASURE Save your partner three times in the same level

This trophy is easier if you play in hard mode as enemies deal more damage.

You need to revive your partner three times so he needs to lose all his life. Once down, get close to the partner and keep pressing the button until you see him standing up.
Repeat three times and you will get the trophy at the end of the level you are playing in.

SPAGHETTI SNIPER Defeat the sheriff on the train without missing a shot

This trophy can only be earned during the boss fight of the “Old West” level and can be easier if you play in easy mode.

First of all, you need to pick up the dynamite he throws at you and return it to the sender.
After being stunned, he will begin shooting at you with a machine gun; here you will have to hide behind the crates and wait to trigger the duel minigame: during this phase, you don’t have to miss a shot until you defeat the boss.

I’M STILL HUNGRY Get at least 120 points in the beer and sausages contest

This trophy can be earned during the beer and sausages minigame in the “Beer and Hot Dog” level.

You need to score at least 120 points in this minigame by pressing the corresponding buttons when they reach the rectangle at the bottom of the screen.

You can also drink beers to slow down the pace of the game but be sure to not abuse as you only have three minutes to reach the required score.

IT’S MINE Steal a beer with life to the maximum to your partner who is about to die

To get this trophy is better to play in hard mode as enemies will deal more damage and you need to steal a beer powerup when your partner is about to die.

The final boss fight can be the best time to try this trophy.

BEER! Drink at least three mugs of beer in the beer and sausage contest

This trophy can be earned during the beer and sausages minigame in the “Beer and Hot Dog” level.

This time you have to focus on drinking at least three full glasses of beer so make sure to press the button every time you have the opportunity to do it.
Don’t worry if you lose the minigame; you can always retry it.

ARE YOU HURT? Defeat at least 10 enemies with carts, doors and fridges in Miami

This trophy must be done during the “City” level. Here, you will have a lot of opportunities where you can use shopping carts, fridges, and car doors to defeat enemies.

Focus on that and the trophy will be yours in no time.

WARNING! Defeat at least one enemy using the crane

During the “Port” level, you will take control of a crane to move some crates from your path.

You need to use this crane to eliminate at least one enemy.

ALBIMAX Talk to Albimax

Albimax is found in the “Amusement Park” level outside the horror house. He’s close to an ice cream cart.
Speak with him and the trophy is yours.

BANANA JOE Slide the same enemy three times on a banana

Bananas can only be found during the “Beach” level.

You have to eat at least one and throw the peel on the ground to make your opponents slip on it.

The more you eat the more peels you can throw on the ground and the higher is the probability an enemy slips on the same peel three times.

CHOO CHOO Ride up to the train dodging all the crates

At the beginning of the “Train” level, you will chase a train by horse. To get the trophy, you need to reach it while avoiding all the crates and barrels thrown at you.

You can see how far are you from the train from the line on the upper part of the screen.
If you eventually get hit by an obstacle, simply restart the level and retry.

PATRICK Talk to Patrick

Patrick can be found in the “Old West” level before the broken bridge.
You must move a barrel with Bud to help Terence cross the bridge. Before doing it, you need to talk to the NPC standing close to a stone chimney.

BACK TO FAGIOLI Reach the speed of 88 miles per hour during highway chase

During the “Highway” trophy you will have to reach the maximum speed possible by driving the car.

Make sure to use the horns by pressing the or buttons to move the other vehicles from the road In front of you and use the turbo ( button) when you have a free path to reach the required speed.

THE END? Complete the game

This trophy is self-explanatory: completing the game once will award you this one. You can stack it with THE END! if you decide to play the game on Hard from the beginning of your journey to the platinum.

STRIKE Bud throw the same enemy against other enemies for at least 4 times

To get this trophy, you are obliged to use Bud and it’s easier if you play on normal or higher difficulty because enemies will last longer.

First of all, you need to find a knocked enemy or knock one yourself then grab him by pressing the button. Now it’s time to throw the chosen poor enemy against others at least 4 times.
Make sure to always grab the same enemy and to always throw him.

SUPER SNOOPER Complete a level using only Bud’s shove attack or Terence’s run kick attack

This trophy is easier to get if you play in easy mode. You need to complete a level only using one of the two attacks mentioned in the trophy description. The shortest one is the “Beer and Hot Dog” one.

To perform this type of attack, you need to run by pressing the button and then the button. You can use your beloved character but make sure to only perform this move as if you use another type of attack, you will invalidate the trophy.

BATMAN Make three ‘Batman’ attacks in a row

The description of this trophy is wrong as you don’t need to make three “Batman” attacks in a row. However, to get it, you need to use Bud as the main character and have two enemies close to you.
Once you are close to them keep pressing the button until you see Bud grab the two enemies and bang their heads together. Repeat this procedure three times to get the trophy.

PING PONG Do a ‘ping pong’ combo at least x4 times

This trophy can be a little tricky: once you are in a fight, try to leave one enemy alone and approach him. Then make him stand between Bud and Terence. Slap him once, let the other character hit him once, and then punch him again.

If done correctly, you should see a combo counter on the screen; to get this trophy, you need to make this counter reach a 4x combo.

HORSE Terence do ‘horse’ movement on the same enemy twice

This trophy requires you to play with Terence. Keep slapping an enemy until he bends over; Once it happens, a prompt appears, press the button to do the “horse” movement. Repeat the same procedure twice on the same enemy to unlock this trophy.
