Introduction
Welcome to the Kalinur trophy guide!
From Pixel vs Pixel & Penguin Pop Games, “Kalinur is a retro metroidvania full of action and adventure!
You explore a castle in order to find and defeat the dread wizard Kalinur, who used his power to leave the kingdom in a state of darkness and suffering.“
Roadmap
Step 1: Follow the Route Below
You do not have to complete the whole of this metroidvania in order to achieve the platinum, as all of the trophies will be able to be obtained within a short amount of time.
There are plenty of save points along the route needed for all the trophies, as shown on the map below as the red squares. These save points are not only crutial to getting through the game, as they replenish your health; they are also vital to use in case of the occasional crash of the game.
It is worth noting that the save areas noted below with the green star (*) are where you will want to grab the upgrades needed for the relevant trophies. Upgrades cost 200 each, and you may wish to farm out more coins in area *9 as it is worth upgrading your ATK twice prior to entering the battle with the Gargoyle.
Once you have collected the map at location *7 you can view it by pressing the

You’ll be earning the trophies at these locations, and in this order –

*5 – From rags to riches
*6 – I hate bats!
*7 – Cartographer
*8 – Unexpected encounter
*9 – Don’t lose your head
*9 – Take this!
*9 – Rolling in money!
* – I feel healthly!
* – I feel stronger!
*10 – Just a big bat
*11 – Double Jump Ability
*12 – Finders keepers
*12 – Kalinur Master
Tips and Strategies
- For those not familiar with metroidvanias, if you die you restart all over! With this in mind save as often as you can.
- Once you have upgraded you ATK & HP at least once feel free to begin jumping over enemies, as you no longer need to collect any currency.
