Introduction

Welcome to The Wizard and The Slug trophy guide!
The Wizard And The Slug is a 2D action platformer where you play as a slug that shoots its goo at enemies! A quick and easy platinum trophy is here as well!

Roadmap

Step 1: Start The Story
The first thing you should do is go into the options menu and turn on all the assists if you’d like the easiest time with this platinum. Now start the story and choose Story Mode. Now play up until you get the FACE INSPECTOR trophy.

You’ll be earning these trophies:
ONCE UPON A TIME
PUNISHER
FACE INSPECTOR

Step 2: Challenges
For the most efficient path to the platinum trophy, you have to go to the main menu and go to the challenges menu, then go to “Boss Rush Mode”. This will pit you against all the bosses in the game, netting you all the trophies. This method will take 10-15 minutes. If you play the story, you’re looking at 2-3 hours. No matter what, at the end of this step, you’ll have the platinum!

Trophy Guide

Platinum Wizard Get all other trophies.

ONCE UPON A TIME Begin the first act.

Once you start a new game, you get this trophy.

PUNISHER Punish a bad, bad Barry.

When you’re collecting the limbs for the little witch, you’ll meet this Barry enemy. Just shoot it till it explodes and you get the trophy!

FACE INSPECTOR Thoroughly inspect a weird face.

As you progress through the game, you’ll come across a group of Barry’s and one has some hair on it. Keep talking to it with up on the d-pad until this trophy unlocks.

CREOSOTE Defeat Creosote.

After the forest, you’ll find yourself in a cave. Here you’ll fight the Creosote boss. If you’re not using assists, you’ll need to dodge a few attacks. He rolls around and shoots dirt from his mouth that you’ll need to jump over to avoid. Once he’s dead, you get this trophy.

ORITHYIA Defeat Orithyia.

At the end of the Underground Passage, you’ll fight Orithyia, who is a giant crab. If you don’t have assists on, you’ll need to watch out for falling rocks from up top that will fall on your head. They are marked with a red marker before they fall though. When the boss twirls its pincers, they can damage you too. Shoot any spot that turns pink and when the boss is dead, you’ll get this trophy.

ROKH Defeat Rokh.

While you’re climbing the frozen mountain, you’ll come up against the bird Rokh. If you don’t have any assists on, you’ll need to be careful during this fight. Rokh will summon enemies and try to push you off the edge with wind sometimes. Most of his attacks will be blocked, but it’s best to try to avoid them anyways. After you beat him, you get this trophy.

FALSE PHOENIX Defeat False Phoenix.

At the end of the Volcano area, you’ll find the False Phoenix boss. If you’re playing without assists, the boss has quite a few attacks to avoid. It will shoot fire from its mouth in rows, fire pillars will come from under you, and there will be bombs on the platforms that you can make the boss fly into for extra damage. It still flies in the air and dive bombs you, so keep moving to avoid it. When it’s defeated, you get this trophy.

COMETS Defeat Comets.

After the Village Of Gems, you’ll find yourself in a fight with the Comets. If you don’t have the assists on, this will be a hard one. First thing you need to do is bust the red prison around Charm. Now he’ll always be free. Now the comets follow you around the whole map and shoot fire at you. If you defeat one, it gets a little timer above it before it respawns, but it gets almost no health back. What you need to do is have them all defeated at the same time to beat the fight and get this trophy.

CAT KING Defeat Cat King.

When you’re in the cardboard castle, you’ll end up coming across this boss to fight. If you’re playing without assists, you’ll need to watch the arrows from the guards or when the Cat King slams the ground. When the boss is in the air, jump into him to push him into the spikes. Once he’s hit the spikes or the ground, he bounces around before jumping again. After losing 1/3rd of his HP, guards come to shoot arrows at you. After losing 2/3rds, you can just attack him normally! After you defeat him, this trophy unlocks.

AELLO AND OCYPETE Defeat Aello and Ocypete.

After you save the slug with the plants and race Pod, you’ll need to fight these bosses. If you don’t have assists on, you’ll need to dodge lasers that are shown on the screen, and music notes. After you defeat them, you’ll get this trophy.

ROOT Defeat Root.

Root is the last boss of the game, if you’re not using assists, be prepared for a fight. You have to beat her before she beats Charm. She will target you and do a dash once she gets near you. Try to run and jump as best you can. She will have magic around her sometimes that you can just break with bullets, but sometimes she’ll have feathers. These will shoot out from her and you have to avoid them. Once she’s defeated, you get this trophy.
