Introduction

Welcome to the MY LITTLE PONY: A Maretime Bay Adventure trophy guide!
My Little Pony: A Maretime Bay Adventure is a kid’s game developed by Bandi Namco Entertainment and published by Outright Games (Paw Patrol, Hotel Transylvania). You play as Sunny Starscout as she works to identify the saboteur of the Maretime Bay Day festival.

There’s nothing difficult here, but the game does give you a butterfly friend at the beginning of Level 2 that acts as a waypoint marker, and will lead you to all of the story-required interactions (blue dialogue markers) and items.

Roadmap

Step 1: Play through the story
You will earn the majority of the game’s trophies just by playing through the story. There’s only one non-collectible trophy that you can miss, but as the game has free-roam after the credits roll, it’s not actually a missable trophy. See W.I.N.G.S. Cadet for information on that one.

By the end of this step, you will have earned (in order):
Silver An adorable thief
Silver Unicycling 101
Silver Mane Street awaits!
Gold Pipp Pipp Parade!
Gold Glowing up
Gold W.I.N.G.S. Cadet (this is the one that’s technically missable; I’ve listed it here as the earliest time it can be unlocked)
Gold Pro Herder
Gold The Neigh-gotiator
Gold Starscout
Gold Where did magic go?
Gold Friendship is still Magic

And the collectible trophies:
Gold Amateur Detective
Gold Sherif’s apprentice
Gold Starscout

Step 2: Cleanup (optional)
If you didn’t get the three collectible trophies and the secret race trophy during Step 1, now is the time to get them and unlock 40-platinum Alicorn Status. Congratulations!

An adorable thief Silver
Reclaim your backpack

Story-related and cannot be missed.

Early in the first level, Birghthouse Hills, you will come across a cute rabbit that has stolen your backpack. After a short tutorial on using Sunny’s earth magic, make your way up two platforms and cross the nearby bridge to regain your backpack and unlock this trophy.

Unicycling 101 Silver
Fix the bridge using Izzy’s Unicycling powers

Story-related and cannot be missed.

Midway through the second level, Crystal Brighthouse, Izzy will meet you at a broken bridge and ask you to find the three things needed to repair it (even though they’re all super close to her). Once you’ve gathered the items, return them to her for a cutscene and a tutorial. Once you’ve fixed the bridge, the trophy will unlock.

Mane Street awaits! Silver
Help Hitch in Brighthouse

Story-related and cannot be missed.

Near the end of the second level, Crystal Brighthouse, Hitch will ask for your help. Once you’ve provided him with three bunnies and three carrots, the bunny herding minigame will take place. Once you’ve finished it, no matter how you’ve done, you will unlock this trophy afterwards.

Pipp Pipp Parade! Gold
Help Pipp in Mane Street

Story-related and cannot be missed.

Early in the third level, Mane Street, Pipp will ask you to track down and identify a saboteur. Speak with nearby ponies to get three clues – look for blue dialogue markers rather than pink. Once you’ve gotten the three clues, speak with Pipp (and Scout) to start a series of fetch quests.

Speak with Izzy, who once again will ask you to get something that’s incredibly close to her (some paint from the nearby paint booth). The paint shop guy wants a helmet, which can be found at the fashion booth at the far left of the level. The fashion pony wants a fabulous red flower, which can be found a few booths to the right. After speaking with the flower booth owner, use Sunny’s earth magic to grow some flowers in the empty pots, then compete the trading chain.

Once you fix the billboard, go into the new area to the left and speak with Pipp, who will ask you to find her backup dancer. You likely already saw her – she’s to the right of the billboard, hiding very obviously in a box on top of a wooden platform.

Primrose will ask you to pick up the three pieces of her outfit – they’re all located at booths in this part of the level (not the area where you did the trading quest). Finally, Primrose wants a smoothie – the booth is just to the right of her. But of course, the smoothie shop owner needs stuff – three pumpkins. One is near Izzy in the trading quest area, one is on top of the booths left of the billboard, and one is just in front of Primrose.

Once you deliver Primrose her pumpkin spice smoothie, speak with Pipp to start a dancing minigame, after which you will FINALLY unlock this trophy.

Amateur Detective Gold
Get 500 Magic Bits

See Gold Starscout.

Glowing up Gold
Use the Magic Mirror for the first time

Story-related and cannot be missed.

After helping Pipp on Mane Street (see Gold Pipp Pipp Parade!), you will gain access to Magic Mirrors, which allow you to change Sunny’s accessories (unlocked by collecting Magic Bits). One will spawn in the same area as Pipp – just use that one. You don’t have to purchase anything or change Sunny’s appearance for the trophy to pop – just interacting with the Magic Mirror, then backing out is enough – but you’ll need to change your appearance to finish the third level anyways.

W.I.N.G.S. Cadet Gold
Complete the secret obstacle course in Town Park

Soon after unlocking Gold Glowing Up, you will run through another obstacle course, after which you will unlock Sunny’s rollerblades. Once you’ve done so, equip them ( ) and speak with Zoom. You’ll do the obstacle course again, but this time you’ll be in rollerblades. After skating through the course, you’ll unlock this trophy.

If you missed out on this during your story runthrough, you can still access it after finishing the game and entering free roam.

Sherif’s apprentice Gold
Get 1000 Magic Bits

See Gold Starscout.

Pro Herder Gold
Help Hitch in Town Park

Story-related and cannot be missed.

Level four, Town Park, starts with another round of billboard sabotage and a trading chain – this time you’ll need to kick down fruit from two trees near the paint booth, then grow a pumpkin in a nearby patch and roll it to the paint booth.

Once you’ve fixed the billboard, head to the far right of the park, and after some platforming, you will run an obstacle course and herd crabs for Hitch, after which you’ll need to play a new herding minigame. After finishing it, you’ll unlock this trophy.

The Neigh-gotiator Gold
Fulfil Marcel’s requests and unlock Beach Cove

Story-related and cannot be missed.

After helping Hitch in level four, Town Square (see Gold Pro Herder), you will need to return to level three (Mane Street) and watch Sprout deliver a speech. After which, go to the far left of this part of the level to encounter Marcel the rabbit, who will send you on a series of fetch quests.

First, you’ll need a smoothie. Thankfully you can just get a smoothie, but you only have 60 seconds to bring the smoothie back, and suddenly there are boxes everywhere. You still have more than enough time to get back.

Second, you’ll need some sunglasses. The fashion booth is nearby; grow a red flower in the empty pot in front of the booth to get some in exchange.

Finally, you’ll need to get three balloons. One is on top of the booth next to the fashion booth, is attached to the billboard, and one is next to the smoothie booth.

Once you’ve delivered all of these items to the extortionist rabbit, you’ll unlock this trophy.

Where did magic go? Gold
Race Zipp on Beach Cove

Story-related and cannot be missed.

Level five, Beach Cove, will require you to fix another billboard. After finding the clues and speaking with Sprout, speak with Pipp – she’s next to the smoothie booth on the beach. Afterwards, speak to the pony painting on the beach. She wants a life ring – it’s around the neck of a nearby pony standing in front of a palm tree. But to get the life ring, you’ll need to find the pony’s crab – go all the way left and just before a small platforming section, you’ll see the crab in front of a small cave.

Once you’ve fixed the billboard, you’ll need to gather three more bunnies for Hitch. Once you’ve finished, cross the bridge in this new area, and after some platforming, Zipp will challenge you to a flying minigame, after which you’ll unlock this trophy.

Friendship is still Magic Gold
Catch and talk some sense into Sprout

Story-related and cannot be missed.

After finishing up on Beach Cove (see Gold Where did magic go?), you’ll be back on Mane Street. Walk right for a cutscene, then after giving a rousing speech from a rooftop, head to the area where the smoothie booth was. After some platforming, you’ll start a chase minigame.

After some cutscenes, the credits will roll and you’ll unlock this trophy.

Starscout Gold
Get 1500 Magic Bits

There are a total of 1936 Magic Bits in the game – these are the stars that are very obviously strewn about each level. They’re not hidden, and most are directly in your path (do keep an eye on the road – sometimes it will branch off to a dead end with some Magic Bits at the end).

Some Magic Bits will come in the form of a piñata, which when you pick it up will break into several Magic Bits, which you still need to pick up to register them. Some will come from repairing various landmarks and buildings around the levels – look for the tables with the plans on them. You will also receive Magic Bits for just progressing through the game, so don’t let the sheer number overwhelm you. Also remember that you only need 1500 for this trophy, so there are some you can avoid collecting in the interest of time (like the ones locked behind minigame high scores).

Below is a breakdown of Magic Bits by area, which the game tracks for you on the pause menu.

Brighthouse Hills: 137
Crystal Brighthouse: 352 (75 tied to minigame)
Mane Street: 496 (75 tied to minigame / 75 tied to final chase minigame)
Town Park: 412 (75 tied to minigame)
Beach Cove: 539 (75 tied to minigame)
