Introduction

Welcome to the MotoGP™22 trophy guide!
Milestone S.r.l. have brought us another gem of a game with the 2022 instalment of the MotoGP series. The Official Video Game of the MotoGP™ Championship features over 120 riders. All the heroes of the 2022 season and more than 70 historical riders to enjoy the most complete racing game of all time.

Roadmap

Step 1: Time Trial
Use this as a tutorial, or a practice to get used to any new mechanics this years game may have. You can of course complete this in one session, or split it up if you’re getting bored of running one track over and over.

Make sure that each of the 25 laps you need to complete are “valid laps”, or this will take longer than it is supposed too.

You’ll be earning these trophies:
Bronze Hammer time
Silver The definition of insanity

Step 2: Career Mode
This is a fairly short step due to the fact that you are able to select a trimmed down version of the season (Short Season), which only requires you to participate in 8 races. You will need to start off in Moto 3 as normal with these, and build your way up from there. Ensure that you are developing your bike at all opportunities, as you will need at least a couple of seasons in MotoGP in order to obtain Silver Cutting edge.

There are a few other things worth noting here –

  • Complete 5 valid laps during a Free Practice
  • Reach Qualifying 2 after participating in Qualifying 1
  • Obtain Pole Position in Qualifying 3 times
  • Negotiate a Contract Offer successfully
  • [MotoGP] Complete at least 1 valid lap with each development package during the Winter Tests
  • [MotoGP] Complete all Development Tests during a weekend
  • [MotoGP] Beat the time threshold with both bikes during the Mid-Season Tests

During this step you’ll earn these trophies:
Bronze Perfectionist
Bronze Last chance
Bronze Long lap
Bronze Pole position genius
Bronze Final offer
Bronze Unpacking
Bronze Test rider

Bronze Victory at Losail
Bronze Victory at Mandalika
Bronze Victory at Termas
Bronze Victory at Jerez
Bronze Victory at Mugello
Bronze Victory at Misano
Bronze Victory at Motegi
Bronze Victory at Valencia
Silver Cutting edge
Silver Moto3™ World Champion
Silver Moto2™ World Champion
Gold MotoGP™ World Champion

Step 3: Misc Races
The Short Season Calendar within this does not include all tracks in the game during the career run, so you’ll need to set up some quick 3 lap races to knock these ones out.

You can of course participate in a Full Calendar during your Career Mode, but this will take up more time, plus some of the tracks are historical and do not feature in the current calendar.

During this step you’ll earn the following trophies:

Bronze Victory at Austin / Bronze Victory at Portimão / Bronze Victory at Le Mans
Bronze Victory at Catalunya / Bronze Victory at Sachsenring / Bronze Victory at Assen
Bronze Victory at KymiRing / Bronze Victory at Silverstone /
Bronze Victory at Red Bull Ring
Bronze Victory at Aragón / Bronze Victory at Chang / Bronze Victory at Phillip Island
Bronze Victory at Sepang / Bronze Victory at Indianapolis / Bronze Victory at Brno
Bronze Victory at Estoril / Bronze Victory at Donington / Bronze Victory at Laguna Seca

Step 4: NINE Season 2009
Work your way through the season completing all the challenges for each scenario. Nothing is missable here, and scenarios can be replayed as many times as you wish.

Rewinds and difficulty adjustment are available in this mode.

During this step you’ll earn the following trophies:
Bronze Pilot project
Bronze Start to get into gear
Silver Ever-present
Silver Glued to the screen
Silver TV marathon
Silver On the edge of your seat
Silver Season 2009
Gold NINE

Step 5: Multiplayer
A simple multiplayer once again that can be boosted with one other. Only one player actually has to race, so self boosting is also possible here. You’ll also need to ensure you “Complete a multiplayer race wearing your custom helmet”, reach the podium 3 times, and you’re all done.

During this step you’ll earn the following trophies:
Bronze Street artist
Bronze Hat-trick
Silver Good game!
40-platinum MotoGP™22

Last chance
Race in Q1 and qualify for Q2 in Grand Prix, Championship or Career mode.

In order to obtain access to Qualifying 2, you will first need to fall into the Qualifying 1 session, and then set the fastest time there.

This can easily be done by not participating in any of the Free Practice sessions, and therefore automatically placing you into Qualifying 1.

Pole position genius
Obtain 3 different Pole Positions in Grand Prix, Championship or Career mode.

Setting the fastest lap in Qualifying will get you that coveted Pole Position.

As with all trophies in this game, you can lower the AI difficulty to 20%, if you are having any troubles.

Long lap
Serve a penalty in the LLP lane in Grand Prix, Championship or Career mode.

This can be done during race, or practice. After your 5th warning for exceeding track limits (cutting corners) you will be served with a Long Lap penalty. This would mean that you would need to go around the outside of a designated corner, and stay within track limits there.
Using the Assisted settings will still net you the trophy here.

After being served the penalty, you will have 3 laps to complete this, or you will be disqualified. If you happen to get this penalty during a race, and you do not have enough laps left to complete it, then you will be served with a 5 second penalty at the end of the race (which will not count for the trophy).

Perfectionist
Complete 5 valid laps during Free Practice in Grand Prix, Championship or Career mode.

If there is a particular track that you feel you are going to struggle with, then take advantage of the practice sessions to get used to it a bit more.

These 5 laps do not have to be consecutive, but they do have to be “valid” ones.

Hammer time
Complete 5 consecutive valid laps in Time trial mode.

Completing 5 consecutive valid laps in Time Trial, is actually fairly tricky for a newcomer, as with the slightest movement off of the track, or a crash, your lap will become invalid.

You will need to complete 25 laps in total within Time Trial for Silver The definition of insanity, so do not stress too much about this. There is also a little trick to keep your streak going, as you are able to pause and “Restart Flying Lap” if you do happen to crash, or go off of the circuit. This will keep your streak alive, and help you on your way to achieving this.

Unpacking
Complete at least 1 valid lap with each development package during the Winter Tests.

The “Winter Test” is a preseason testing phase prior to the MotoGP career calendar starting. During this weekend you will have the choice of 3 new bikes to try out.

All you’ll need to do is complete one valid lap on each bike, and the trophy will be yours.

Test rider
Complete all Development Tests during a weekend as a rider in Career mode.

During any Free Practice session head into the Development Test tab and take a look at the requirements. There are a number of different objectives, that are constantly changing from race to race, so simply go for one you feel comfortable with.

You will be set specific objectives that need achieving either over the course of the weekend, or purely within the Free Practice sessions that can range from improving your time over the course of a few laps, or changing your set up to improve your time, to things like completing a lap on each of the tire compounds, or achieving entry to Q1.

Final offer
Ensure that a Team accepts your counter proposal during a negotiation in Career mode.

As you will be moving up the classes during your career, you should think about pushing back just a little on the first contract offer.

All you need to do is adjust any of the parts of the contract slightly and then wait another week for them to come back to you. Don’t push your luck too much here…

Street artist
Complete an online race wearing a custom helmet.

When you enter the Multiplayer Lobby you will have the option to select Official Rider, or Official Team. Selecting an Official Team will result in your custom rider participating in the race, and therefore your custom helmet.

You will need to “Share” your original creation in order for it to be available online. This can be done whilst saving any changes.

Hat-trick
Reach the podium in 3 different online races.

Unfortunately the MotoGP games do not seem to have a massive online appeal. This is unfortunate, but there never really seems to be too many people online at any one time.

This is a bonus for this trophy however, as you should frequently comes across a lobby where there is only a couple of other people racing.

If you’re self boosting, then this will come without even thinking about it.

Complete 25 laps in Time trial mode.

Cutting edge Gold
Complete the bike’s development in the MotoGP™ category in Career mode.

Development begins from the moment you start out in the MotoGP series. Your progress towards completing the development is not carried through your entire career this time. Participating in the Short Season does not have a negative impact on this, as your staff will still produce their credits on a week by week basis. Just be sure to have someone working on something at all times.

Continue to move your staff amongst the sections to ensure you have enough credits building up, and get to MotoGP as quickly as possible to ensure you are able to work on all 4 components simultaneously.

You can expect to earn this towards the end of your third MotoGP season.

Moto3™ World Champion Gold
Win the Moto3™ Championship as a rider in Career mode.

This trophy will pop when it is mathematically impossible for anyone to catch your points tally before the season finishes. You do not have to wait till the end of the season for it to pop.

Although not necessary, I would advise to pick the “Short Season Calendar” to get through this as quickly as possible. Once you have achieved all the relevant Career Mode trophies you will be able to complete the rest of the tracks in Grand Prix Mode, with 3 laps selected, rather than between 4-7 laps depending on the track.

Moto2™ World Champion Gold
Win the Moto2™ Championship as a rider in Career mode.

Good game! Gold
Complete 25 online races.

This can be boosted with a partner in Private Matches, and only one needs to finish the race in order for it to count. You can lower the race distance to 15% (3 laps) to make this slightly quicker.

As per the normal in these multiplayer ones; if you are looking to get this done as quick as possible keep racing round the Sachsenring (Germany), as this has the quicker lap times. You can expect to spend around 2.5 hours on this one alone.

Boosting is possible between PS5 & PS4 this year as cross play functionality has been added.

NINE Gold
Complete all the main and secondary objectives of NINE Season 2009.

NINE Season 2009 is a all new story based challenge mode. Here you will face objectives where you need to catch and pass opponents, stay ahead of opponents, achieve a specific position by the end of a specific lap, and all things very similar.

There are challenges to complete over a number of scenarios, with which most have a Main & Secondary target, and in order to achieve this trophy you will need to pass/complete all Main & Secondary challenges.

This should not prove too difficult, as you have the options of the Rewind function, and the ability to lower the difficulty.

MotoGP™ World Champion Gold
Win the MotoGP™ Championship as a rider in Career mode.
