Introduction

Welcome to the Cosmos Bit trophy guide!
Cosmos Bits is a short Metroidvania where you’re tasked with saving the scientists of a planet! The platinum can be earned before then though!

Roadmap

Step 1: Beat the third boss
To get the platinum in this journey, you have to get the powerup from beating the third boss. That’s as far as you need to go, to get an item from just after them. Take the game slow, as you’ll die fast if you don’t. You also need to use your resources from rocks to save the game. So if you just barely have enough for an upgrade, don’t bother buying it, and just wait. After this step, you’ll have the platinum!

You’ll be earning these trophies:
Gold Satellite Navigator
Gold Jet-Pack
Gold ID Card
Gold Power Up!
Gold More Power!
Gold Sonic Boom
Gold First Encounter
Gold Second Encounter
Gold Third Encounter
Silver Alien Killer
Gold Alien Destroyer
Gold Alien Smasher
40-platinum Platinum Cosmos

Trophy Guide

Platinum Cosmos
Get all other trophies.

Get all other trophies.

Satellite Navigator Gold
Find the map object.

When you first start the game, you’ll only have a straight path to go down. At the end of the path, you’ll find a save point and a floppy disk item. Once you pick the floppy disk up, you get this trophy, and the map.

Jet-Pack Gold
Find the jet-pack object.

You get this power-up after you kill the first boss.

ID Card Gold
Find the ID Card object.

After you kill the third boss and make your way back to the closest save room, you’ll see a spot to shoot a blue beam at. Once you do, a door on the ceiling opens. Go through that and find the ID card.

Power Up! Gold
Find the first enhancement for the main weapon.

As you progress through the left side of the map after you get the Alien Bomb, you’ll end up coming into a room where you have to kill flies that come out of a pipe. When you kill 10, the wall opens and you can get this power-up. Refer to the image below for its location.

More Power! Gold
Find the second enhancement for the main weapon.

Once you kill the third boss, you get this power up.

Sonic Boom Gold
Find the secondary weapon.

You find this power up after you kill the second boss.

First Encounter Gold
Defeat the first boss.

When you start traveling to the top right of the map, after getting the power up shot, you’ll eventually run into this boss. It floats across the top of the room, going from left to right, then back again. All you have to do is follow it as it floats around the room and shoot up. When it prepares its attack, get out from under it, as it shoots most of its bullets there. Once it’s dead, this trophy unlocks and you get the Jetpack for the Gold Jet-Pack trophy as well.

Second Encounter Gold
Defeat the second boss.

As you’re traveling through the bottom right of the map in the ice caves, you’ll end up coming across this boss. He is a blue alien that, like the last, floats from left to right. The one big difference is that he will sometimes move down to try to land on you. When he attacks, he shoots out three spikes. One below him and one diagonally towards the floor on each side. These are easy enough to avoid. Once the boss is dead, this trophy will unlock and you can get the upgrade for the Gold Sonic Boom trophy.

Third Encounter Gold
Defeat the third boss.

As you explore the lava caves at the bottom of the map, you’ll end up encountering this boss. It flies around like the previous bosses but the area is much larger and has dangers on the floor. So you have to make sure you don’t fall into lava when you’re fighting this boss. When the boss attacks, he shoots out fire balls diagonally towards the floor from this body. Be careful as these are actually kind of tough to avoid! Once the boss is dead, you’ll get this trophy, and get the power up for the Gold More Power! trophy.

Alien Killer Gold
Kill 50 alien enemies.

You get this trophy once you kill 50 enemies.

Alien Destroyer Gold
Kill 100 alien enemies.

After you kill 100 enemies, this trophy is all yours.

Alien Smasher Gold
Kill 150 alien enemies.

Once you kill 150 enemies, this trophy is yours. Your kill count is tracked on the right side of the screen the whole time.
