Introduction:

Welcome to Panorama Cotton trophy guide.
Panorama Cotton is shoot ’em up originally released in 1994 by Success. The new PS4 port features a slightly different way to play as well as the original game itself.

Roadmap:

Playing challenge mode (the original game) first is recommended because it allows you to use cheats in standard mode making the game a cinch. Once you select challenge mode go into the options and change the difficulty to easy. You can also change the amount of lives you start with. If you choose to start with less lives you will start with more points.

GoldProfessional
Get 1000000 points or more

This is for getting a million points or more in standard mode. If you completed challenge mode first then this will be easy because of the cheats you’ll have unlocked (one of them is invincibility). All you have to do is beat the 5 levels.

In standard mode you play through the original game with some new a couple new added features, the main one being rewind. If you get hit you can undo the damage done by rewinding with , but you shouldn’t need this if you are using the cheats.

Complete the game

This is for beating the game in standard mode. The games consists of 5 levels and each take about 5 minutes to complete. You’ll be going for this and the Professional at the same time.  Each level usually consists a mini boss halfway through and a boss at the end. They aren’t too hard just dodge and shoot

MillionaireGold
Get 1000000 points or more in challenge mode

This is probably the hardest trophy in the game because you cannot cheese it like you can in standard mode. If you die during a challenge mode run your score will reset to zero but fortunately it is still possible to get a million points in only a few levels. I died at the beginning of level 5 and still ended up with 600000 points.

If you want to play it safe try to not die starting at the halfway point of level 3. You should easily be able to get a million points starting from here. I found that using the red magic attack was the most effective because it attacked enemies at a distance and green was the worst because you cannot use regular attack while it’s in effect.

If you just need the million points but already completed challenge mode then you can choose to start with either 1 or 3 lives for some easy points, however it is much easier to die like this.

Complete the game in challenge mode

Challenge mode is how the game was played when it first came out in the 90’s. You should make completing challenge mode your first playthrough so you can use cheats in standard mode. After you start challenge mode go into options and the change the difficulty to easy.  This is much easier than normal difficulty. The same general strategy can be applied to all 5 levels. Always be moving, always be shooting and use magic on the bosses.

I preferred playing the game on the fastest speed (you change speed with square)  because it was harder to get hit but also harder to attack.  There are some spots where it seems like nothing is hitting you but you take damage anyway (beginning of level 2 and midway through level 3). If you make it through these areas you should be fine.
